Do this, it WILL solve your problem.

It's probably obvious, but how exactly do I 'disable'?

Found it.
Once again, mixed news. Good: I can play it.
Bad: I can only play games with a '64' icon. Really limits my options, possibly down to one half-full server a day. Shame.
Thanks anyway, guys!

Don't give up mate, we're sure going to fix that. How many servers did you try?

What does it say when you try those servers?

Says my CD key is not valid. I click ok. Then I cry.
Basically, there were 10 or so servers with anyone in. I tried maybe 6 or 7 of the servers with either a block or a penguin icon. I tried the 1 '64' one, and got into a really crappy game of 4v5 or something. The other 2 servers had 1 person in, so I didn't bother. I'm assuming it's something to do with your copy - either what operating system you're on, or a digital/physical copy.

Nope - I'm on 64-bit Vista, and I allow every admin thing through.

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-pr ... ost1519775 <- Some people with the very same problem; you all seem to have bought the 75% off version from Steam? Might that be the core of the trouble?

I've had this sort of CD-key invalid problem before (but not on the steam version). I found that the CD-key was in two different locations in my registry. Do a search and change both if you have this. Sorted me out.

I'm not very techy. I've found the regeidt one in steam - where else would it be?

Just search for EA or Electronic Arts or BF2 etc. If I can remember right both were in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE directory but in two different EA GAMES folders. I could play BF2 but not PR, when i changed both I could play PR. So check around there thoroughly. Good luck.

I'm not the technical guy myself, but maybe someone here could walk Hawke through the regedit thing via xfire chat or something?
