As instructor and one of the players in this game - and do admit that at some points I get frustrated at this game. There is nothing wrong with the servers, Admins maybe do their work in a corrupt or not professional way as you experienced but the thing is about to teach this new players and other players how to play the game, how to behave and have fun. There is few very good servers (As ie PRTA, TG, NwA from my own experience) but there will always be frustrated players, but not admins on our server, we encourage and working it out if something is not going according to the policy/rules. Maturity in this game is one of the essential parts of participating a good and fun game. As for your son, maybe he shouldn't see this game at all, it is not meant for children and if he does see it and enjoy it, we would encourage him not to return to the servers where he experienced disrespect and insulting admins. As I am one of the members of PRTA I know how our community works and how our servers run, I've learned that and as everyone else trying to adapt to the rules and policy. And I am sure that I can assure on behalf of all operators and moderators of PRTA that we do our best to keep the server running smooth and the chats clean, We have dedicated and active admins not to mention highly professional. Do bare with us that sometimes at some point some people just loves to spoil the fun or grief. This project was found by PRTA community exactly for this and other things about PR, learn players to be mature, respectful and skilled. As we are PRTA members, we do this for PR and all the players out there, instead of sending new players with insulting words to some deserted training servers.

/ Correct me if I'm wrong, all opinions comes from me, and no personal insults are meant of me.

Bear in mind the time-zones. PRTA CET time can be late evening when the US time is mid afternoon.

As well as this, my son and I read this forum, and I tell him to behave as an example of how you want others to behave. Criticizing bad language whilst swearing three times in your post does not lend credibility to your argument. And you have also exposed my son to such filth.

Either that or you are atroll that was ousted from somewhere and have a grievance..

As for the zero-tolerance methods of policing a server full of proper [mumble] players, it cheers me up to no end to see active Admins persuing the immature and wasteful players that can so easily make a certain server their 'favourite' because it offers an Admin free training-ground to 'try new stuff'.

PRTA seems increasingly well managed by the player-admins, and I applaud them.

We do our best at any point and any time, and if you have further discussion about this issue take it to the servers forum, to complain on admins or take it somewhere else, because this thread is for New player Training and Veteran training.

Hi! I'm Jens, I'm new here, just recently downloaded this mod. I've always been intrested in the military and military shooters, however I've never really played one before because nobody I know actually plays these games. So, hopefully you guys can teach me how to play this game properly so I'll have a better understanding on how to play these types of games.

Thanks in advance to the people who are willing to spend their time doing this :) .

Isn't Wicca already doing something like this? Seems kind of pointless having two seperate training programs that are most likely following different protocol.

And to all players involved in this, don't take what the instructors say as gospel. I've been to many a training session of different groups in different games and often there are incorrect points and statistics used. The best training you will get is playing with a good squad in a good server/

I gave the project to Ziriix. Usually experience can only go so far. I like seeing people covering eachother, not because theyve experience it to be so effective, but because someone told them to.

But i can say, that the best way to teach a new player PR. Is by pubbing!

hello, sometimes I play on the PRTA server and in general it really is a good server, but I find it funny how you are saying that your responsible and that you keep the chat clean and so on, but in my experience of you, you are always using the F word, and you dont really communicate well but tell others what to do in a rude way.. so to be honest with you I dont agree with what you are saying.. like I said in general PRTA is a great server but I certainly dont find that you add anything to keep the server chat clean..

Although I think it's great to have someone training players in-game, I feel someone also needs to simply start working on the Wiki again (or atleast publish it's current state). I'm kind of disappointed I still don't know the weapon statistics for most guns, nor do I know how to properly use the Mortar, or even how to use the Grenadier kit. This is partly my fault, but I'd just wish there was some proper documentation about it all!

Who are you: I'm Mike. Have played BF2 off/on for 4 years now but learned about PR recently and decided to give it a try. I like the realism/teamplay involved but after reading through the manual and then jumping into a server I was pretty lost. Quick learner who wants to delve deeper into this game.

What country are you from: Germany

Experience in Project Reality: Played quite a bit back in 0.75, after that been kind of inactive, recently played a couple of rounds though.

What area do you want to be trained in: Squadleader

Who are you: I'm Jan, I got to PR I think at the last days of .6 but only really played .7 and .75. Then I went to the US for a year as an exchange student and thus wasnt able to play. After I returned, I badly wanted to play, but had problems with voip. (which I still have, but sort of resolved with enabling it only AFTER I loaded the map and disabling it again after the round is ended). It still was really annoying and stopped me from playing pr a lot.
A few weeks ago, me and 2 of my friends had the Idea of starting a PR-squad, that is connected via rl. We use skype for communication so the voip problem didnt count there.
I have been assigned the role of the squadleader but the problem is: I dont have any experience with that.
Which is why im writing this text right now :D
