I'd agree with this. I thought it was bad using choppers for a bit to drop off but i got used to it, but practicing with jets and not having any sort of lase to track to or 3d marker to accurately show where your shots are going to land (especially with an A-10) until you're right on top of it is bloody difficult.
700m for markers and 1km for laze has my vote.

You don't recive a lock while operating the laser targeted missiles with neither the Tornado nor the Su-30 it takes too long, you have to fire and it will lock on to the lase while it moves towards the target.ralfidude wrote:Wrong ELecro. You have two modes, laze lock and guidance.
One is for lazing, and one you do yourself.

Afaik it has been changed with the 0.95 coming out, bombs will no longer lock onto a laze on their own forcing you to have an established lock before releasing.Elektro wrote:You don't recive a lock while operating the laser targeted missiles with neither the Tornado nor the Su-30 it takes too long, you have to fire and it will lock on to the lase while it moves towards the target.
It might be different for the 2-seated jets though yet from what I've heard the laser targeted ordinance is pretty much useless in the Tornado/Su-30, not tested it myself yet, though.

True, but I was refering to the missile system within the two seated jetsMoonlight wrote:Afaik it has been changed with the 0.95 coming out, bombs will no longer lock onto a laze on their own forcing you to have an established lock before releasing.

If the two seated jets are used correctly they are just about the most powerfull assest in the game, but due to the high speed of the vehicles ( I belive the Tornado is the fastest vehicle in game? ) it doesn't leave the gunner with enough time to actually lock but instead he / she guides the munition towards the lased target.

Even the 2 seated jets missile system work the same way as combat chopper. Point and click or laser locking'. The same apply for the bomb they carry.
On the other hand i'm ALL FOR Radar, PR is due to a second master revolution, front oriented radar. For Jets, Helo, AA. Basicly radar will kinda look where you would look with the FLIR system. (Ex you look on left, then radar is oriented left ) but i'm nowhere close to a coder so i will let somone with skills told me if thats even possible.
Edit : Also what might improve the "user-friendability" of the jet is allowing there pod to do as many 360 as they want too, not only 540?. Anyway, its just my own opinion.
