I use Nvidia Inspector to enable 8xS (combined), it's a lot better than the standard CSAA used by default.
haha its not max unless its max right? it can only be used for older games of course.... which this is.
2x2 ss is better performance than 8x and only a little worse than 4x. while looking better. ati's 5xxx series can do it while having automatic LOD correction. i just wish the 4 series could :(

Mediumish at the moment. I've been thinking of buying a new PC, but haven't got that far yet.

Maxed @ 1920 x 1080 =] In addition to changing High Quality textures on NVidia Control panel (not sure if that really makes a difference) and VSync.

VSync is pretty important for widescreen monitors, you can easily see image tearing in BF2

Before i clonked out my laptop i used to be able to run it mostly on High with a couple of mediums, can't remember which.

However, i've reformatted the drive and given it a good clean, so hopefully i should be able to squeeze some more power out of it, so i'll mess around and see what i can't do when my mate gives me my BF2 disk back... the bugger.

with the same rig I voted medium last year, since a couple of months though I prefer to play with everything on low with highest resolution(1280x1024), I'm still working this out so it'll be something between low and medium in the end.

Uber-maxed. Everything pushed up to high, 8x AA, and the highest resolution allowed on my monitor (1680x1050).

The Soviets may have only gotten as far as East Germany, but they took the rest of the continent without firing a single shot.

Normally I run all high, but I went with medium since I just moved and I don't have land line internet yet.

Could be useful if people also said what CPU/GPU/RAM they have, resolution and the minimum FPS they get.

I've got PII X3 3.8GHz/HD6950@6970/4gb RAM. 1920x1080, min FPS ~30. All high, 4xSSAA.

Errr, what? Your graphics settings shouldn't be affected by your internet connection - they won't change the number of object positions which the server needs to communicate to you.
