Al Basrah, on TG .6. I remember being amazed about all the gun shots going around me and how people were staying in one place for more than one second. Then I got kicked for a paying member.

Dragon Valley (16), v0.1, thought the mod was utter shit and unsinstalled it after that

Then a few months later some of my mates convinced me to give PR v0.2 a go with them again and then played Zatar Wetlands (16) and loved it and never looked back

First map was the one MEC against brits on some kind of airstrip, don't know which version. I remember jumping in a jet inside a hangar and dying, because i didn't hat a pilot kit, i've did read the manual, got me a pilot kit, jumped in with great expectations again and was very dissapointed when i noticed the jets were only for show...

That big sandy yellow MEC v USMC map where the view distance was something like 20 meters and there was a sandstorm. Good fun, but it was very small.

Al Basrah in .75, battlearena 24/7. I only played insurgency for the first month or so, because i could never tell the difference between the faction camo, so i kept killing friendlies. I've had a soft spot for Basrah ever since.

Operation Phoenix 0.5/0.6?

Ghost Train, v.0.5. Spent most the round hiding in the grass, wondering where the hell I was getting shot from. I was amazed that people placed as much value in holding the hill over a capture point as the capture point itself, as holding the high ground had actual tactical meaning.

Can't remember the exact order. But i guess my first map was Op. Barracuda(as chinesse) in 0.87. I tooked a transport truck, 3 other guys jumped in the truck with me and drove down the road... a few hundred metters down the road I get shot , me and the other guys jumped out of the truck and were under serious fire, I crawled under the truck, bleeding like a rat, thinking "how awesome this is!" I just couldn't tell where the fire was coming from.... we all died, but it was a brilliant game experience
The other experience I wanted to mention, was on Muttrah city, I spawned on the carrier as US, got in a hely with other sq's ( i did not join any sq, hadn't even read the manual back then, jumped into pr just like that...). We flew off, 2 helys one flying next to the other, packed with US marines, again I was thinking "I'm in love!". Our hely landed over the docks, I sticked to a sq, we were the tip of the spear. As we were going from building to building, at some point, I was crossing the street and I got shot started bleeding, and was confused "who, what, where ?!". An MEC AR bursted firing on what was left from the sq on the other side of the street from a building right above us, killed em all. We on this side of the street died from a grenade explosion.... It was pretty badass

It was pretty average with all five people that were in the game with me... Came back in 0.32 and it was much better

First map I played was Korengal Valley. I had no idea whatsoever as to what I was doing but was very happy when i got my first kill. Korengal is still my favorite map today and maybe cause it was my first......

First map was jabal al burj in .7 I joined a squad got in the heli got dropped off thought a mec guy was a friendly and died.

The first PR map I played was Al Basrah during v0.5 on the Devfile 24/7 Al Basrah server.

Ahh... good times, good times.

I had read the manual and watched a buttload of gameplay videos and knew what I was doing.
I jumped in a squad and grabbed a light AT.

Now both the kit and the map are my favorite.

First map played ... hmm hard to say. I remember the Sharqi Peninsula map in escort mode, with the black SUV. First time I played, the game ended before I could understand or shoot anything

I also have memories of Strike at karkand 2 where nearly everyone was using LMGs. I remember Zatar Wetlands and Oasis too.
