Apparently they do o_O Though this comes as a surprise to me too as they don't show up in ref pics too much.
WRT the actual skins, like Wakain said, you need to bring in some mud, dirt and wear. Take a look at how the US Marine skins look like.

just one thing that's bugging me, do the CDF really have guys wearing camo boots?
In trials. I've seen a few people wearing them at a combat training center, though certainly most are still using the older/regular kit. I did some character models for the CF a few years ago and they wanted both versions of the boots as they were eventually heading in that direction.

Thanks for the comments guys, if the DEV team is ready to contact me, I could provide them with the DSS files. I also have edited the USA kit textures, but I really want to work on the geometries to make them perfect (right packs, weapons and radios). I?ve also worked out the code, however I can?t rename the textures or it corrupts the files with BFmesh viewer (I guess I also need 3D max for that). BTW how do you do that? Do I need 3D max? I?ve looked in BFeditor and can?t find that function so I guess I need a 3D program. If you have an answer please PM me.
@ dtacs: Since I can't work with volume (model geometry bound) I need to exaggerate the texture, but some of are guys have time to grow pretty wicked beards:
@ PLODDITHANLEY: Good idea mate! A mix of camo / no-camo will make me happy and the community also! In all the ref-pics I saw only one had the camo, but three members wanted to have the camo, so now we can have a compromise!
@ [R-DEV]Chuc: I also have the camo-gloves, but did not put them in the screenshoots. However, I am planning to change the skins textures to the camo ones, since it's hard to match the hand colors to the head colors. Also I have the "dirty" versions of the uniforms. I just like to show off the details, so I put the "clean" ones in there also.
@ [R-CON]AnimalMother: Yeah we have them, aren't they great! I also kept the original black boots on 2 of the models. But I think they will be fade-out when the stock of new camo-boots come-in.

To replace textures you either -
Need to reexport the models (hard way, as you need 3D editing software and the original asset files)
or
Use this -
Gui For Bf2materials.exe - Official BF Editor Forums
It will allow you to change material paths without the need of a 3D program.

According to the
read me, you have to do the following:
To play back BF2 animations, first load the skinnedmesh, then drag and drop the respective skeleton file onto the BfMeshView window, then drag and drop the animation file.

Greetings,
I did some huge progress over the last week.
Firstly; I finished all the CAPAT AR and TW player models and also did a re-skin of the USMC kits to CATPAD AR.
Secondly; I edited all the .con files and .tweek files, so basically all the importing is done; now we just need the change the kit geometries.
For that bit I will need to wait for [R-DEV]Hauteclocque, since he?s one of the few that I know that can do that (USMC scout sniper, will try to help me also). Therefore, I?ve stared two new projects.
The first is an edit of the Venom to look like a Griffon. I?ve changed the main Huey rotor to the Lynx rotor which is a 4 blade assembly like the Canadian Griffon. Unfortunately, the ?hack? is not perfect since the rotor doesn?t line-up perfectly. Anyways, I seems that there is a new model in the works, if the PR team needs help for its skins and imports I can help out. I am still having fun with my version in SP.
The second is my first map called ?Operation Homefront?. The PLA is invading Canada on the west coast (in BC) to get to the tar sands in Alberta. But first they need to get a hold of a port and an airfield. The PLA container invasion fleet is just off the coast and the Canadian Forces need to push back the attack. Since this my first map I am editing one of my favorite vanilla maps: Operation Harvest. I am including some new elements to make it my ?dream map?, still in very early stages, will post a proper thread when I get more work done.

Well like I said, there will be a new mesh for it, so maybe that model will have them (cross-fingers). I would also like to see the doors since there is a big Canadian Forces logo I would like to put on them.

Hopefully I will be integrated in its development so we can have some kick *** CF updates for the next installment of PR!

Cool, maybe you could also "borrow" an F-18 and stick a CF patch to it and you'll have a temporary CF-18.

looking good, superior to the cadpad-euroforce chaps we have now, if only there would be new canadian voices with wacky accents and unusual speech
one thing I noticed though on your playerskins: it all seems a little flat, you can especially notice this on the back of the medic and a little on the helmets. the medic's backpack almost seems to merge in his BDU, perhaps giving the kit geoms' cadpad a slightly different shade could fix this, as if e.g. the backpack is a little more or less worn than the BDU. the US army kit geoms are like this if I recall correctly.

@ ubermensche: When the CF faction forums where up I saw that someone already did a CF-18 skin… however we lack the 64 player map (with runways) to put the asset in I guess. (BTW were did that forum go? I would like to see some old post for reference material)
@ Wakain: For speech I could do it (I was born and raised in Quebec, so my accent would be definitely there!) How ever I remember a big discussion about if they should speak French or English (in that forum that I am looking for) so I guess that’s why they kept the vanilla files. For the kits blending in I am waiting on the guys to make me some new geometries. I would like to see the UK backpack instead of the USMC ones since they look more like the ones the CF use.

I know about the new model, but I was told after I finished the skin for the venom. I would be to skin the new mesh, please PM to talk about the details.

Isn't the UH1N the 'Twin Huey' whereas the new UH1Y is the 'Venom'?
If the UH1Y is modeled it would need a lot more than just a reskin to look like the Griffon.
Regarding your earlier question. The Canadian faction forums (like the Israeli and German ones) were taken 'behind the scenes' as of their integration into the mod.
