Not only do mod players NOT lack in crtitisicm, they also do not lack generic excuses...

When I think of the amount of beer I drink when playing arma2 with my community. Save a beer a day and in 2 weeks I got the money done for a monthly 10€. Done.

No but you get rid of that beautiful word "guilt" you feel.

I'm 15 in two weeks, and therefore I don't have a proper job (and don't have a 'proper' bank account).

I really appreciate everyone that does their bit for the game; the DEVs, and the hosts of the servers.

I would happily donate, but as said before, I simply can't.

I agree, I could get a proper job, but the fact is I live in the north of Scotland. There is absolutely nothing up here.

I do jobs around the various villages for people, but that only pays for important stuff; not PR (I'm not saying PR isn't important lol).

Trust me; if I could donate, I most definitely would.

I would love to get a regular job like you have, but the minute a job pops up; somebody has taken it. I've been to every shop for 20 miles with no luck.

Here's me dreaming about that surround sound system..........

Just out of curiosity: How much do you get paid per hour/day/week?

Oh, and by the way DEVs: Here is a virtual donation of 5 pounds, because I'm feeling generous.Image

Goolge injects adds relavant to the web site being viewed. Funny how this add shows in the bottom text bar.

PR and Marketing Agency Strategic Marketing and PR campaigns. Call Nik on 01244 851144

PR Campaigns, local number should phone them up and suggest campaigns to be included in PR single player. I wounder how long the call would last once they figure out its a PC game prank call.

"Hi, Im calling for Nik. I came across your add on a forum I visit. I have a idea for a PR campainge. Would it be possible to get a assault on (insert county here) into the single player game mode. How would you go about this and is there any thing you need me to send over. Maps, tactics, asset load out, bot count, etc etc. I have some good ideas may be we could set up a meeting to discuss this."
Phone gets hung up.
"Click deeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... a well"

Back on topic. If I could afford it I would donate.

I'm working on my guide, finishing it in a few years hopefully (writing takes time), and thereafter I will turn it into a real book and start selling copies. Depending on the price of the book, up to 50% of the surplus will go to the PR developer team. I wrote the developer-lead my book-plan some time back now.

I believe the book will be a useful donation, however, it will take time before it actually donate to the dev-team, cause writing simply takes time. At least to me it does. The book will be completely as the guide, minus videos and plus some extra content not deployed in the posted internet-guide.

Point with this post is to try and - well - point out I guess, that if you cant / wont button-donate, then perhaps you can think of donating in another way? Regardless of your age, your income and situation?

I started out thinking about my book back in 2005 / 2006. So far I've managed to complete around 30 - 50% of this challenge. The donation-part-idea, came to me much later, last year or perhaps in 2009? Cant remember - too many ideas ago.
Since I never really got a reply, just want to ask in public, if any developer has an opinion about this type of donation I'm working on?
I hope I don't sound ego-centric-focused, cause lots of people has donated, however, still, the idea of creating a book that is supposed to provide the developer team with money, is after all, a bit out of the average.

I personally like the idea myself, however I don't think that your work will be benifical as such, because PR already has a manual etc. Maybe if you did one for PR ArmA2 which will be more complicated and there will be a need for a guide as such for that.
However i think BF2 :P R is to simple to write a guide that will actually sell as such.
That is my honest opinion and not that of the DEVs or PR. However if you wish to continue I don't think the DEVs would stop you at all.
