M113 = call sign - "sh*tbox"

Because it's the worst APC what I ever seen in PR. Its so vulnerable against anything. And yes, heard this a lot. Of course "metal coffin" and so on about this thing. ;)

Could be because the MEC light attack helicopter is the SA 341h Gazelle? They also have the EC635 Eurocopter ;) .

They are pretty terribad, no doubt. But at least they don't die to 5.56 like an MTLB will :p

You talking about the BRDM. MTLB are quite resistant to small arms and explosions splash damage.

Nup, MTLBs do die to small arms. I've done it on a few occasions (most notably during a PRT battle :D )

Don't the m113 die from small arms? It seemed to in the v.9 trailer.

We tested it just recently, had 20 guys open up on it for a good minute or so. Did nothing.

It was static and 15 people with 7.62 were shooting in its back. It will survive a hellfire splash damage from 5m onwards which is more than any other vehicle has.

Who said anything about a hellfire, we're discussing shitcan APCs (BRDMS, M113s and MTLBs) relative resistance to small arms fire.
TheComedian wrote:It was static and 15 people with 7.62 were shooting in its back.
My original point was in a comparable test to the one shown above (stationary, 20 shooters) an M113 will not take damage, or at the very least will take an extremely negligible amount of damage. Whereas an MTLB can be damaged and therefore destroyed with small arms fire, as the above video shows.

(Obviously, this is completely different form a "live" situation, but this was not supposed to teach anyone how to kill an APC with small arms, it was a demonstration to show that it was possible.)

So what exactly was the dispute here?

i've heard people pronounce grenadier [Gren-A-Deer] as Grenade-er

People calling a ford and land bridge

Ford (f?rd, frd)
A shallow place in a body of water, such as a river, where one can cross by walking or riding on an animal or in a vehicle.
tr.v. ford?ed, ford?ing, fords
To cross (a body of water) at a ford.

Land bridge:

A neck of land that connects two landmasses; an isthmus.

A land bridge, in biogeography, is an isthmus or wider land connection between otherwise separate areas, which allows terrestrial animals and plants to cross over and colonise new lands. Land bridges can be created by marine regression, in which sea levels fall, exposing shallow, previously submerged sections of continental shelf; or when new land is created by plate tectonics; or occasionally when the sea floor rises due to post-glacial rebound after an ice age.

For all the Smart fuckers out there

Fjord:

Geologically, a fjord (Listeni /ˈfjɔrd/ or /ˈfiː.ɔrd/) is a long, narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs, created in a valley carved by glacial activity.

+1 for the M113 being called the POS APC, or the shitter, or anything close to that :P
