My hope is that it will function the same as the GPMG kits in FH2, where you can't really move and fire simultaneously.
Think it says the machinegunner class is getting a pistol somewhere in there.

Ha, indeed. With new the new deviation, if it gets implemented, its should be better. Also makes sense, Eryx is a heavy thing and having a G3 on top of that...

don't people already take MEC Crewman kits for the awesome cqc capabilities? Imagine the sheer rambo-ness of having a guy with an mp5 clearing a block with a HAT on his back

I hope the devs'll make the HAT kit spawnable and give it short sleeves

dev's will make only 1 HAT kit per team.

Tbh I find the G3 better than the MP5 in every situation, CQC included. I just like to use the MP5 because of the cool factor.

well its still a prototype and its yet unknown when it will be used by the bundeswehr. KSK and SEK(M) (Marine) already use the HK21.

the MG3 is still in service, so it's fully appropriate to use it in game. The reason the puma was developed for PR is because we had no good placeholder for the bundeswher. However the MG3 is a finished, polished weapon that makes perfect sense to use. If the 21 is planned to be developed, then it's way lower on the list compared to Chinese GPMGs, and other rifles, and vehicles that need updating and such!
Plus the MG3 is such a beautiful weapon..

Oh I totally agree, and would truly be disappointed to see it go. I look forward to laying waste with it on Lashkar! Ironsight MG3 = ultimate cave clearer. I'm gonna guess there will be two GPMG kits available per team?

OH man how I hate MG3 ironsights, probably the worst light machinegun ironsights in game... The gun is great, sure, but i would LOVE to see some reflex sights on it, even for MEC.

Well they could have just as easily developed the Marder, which is in wide use with the Bundeswehr.
But yeah I guess with the MG3 already in the game and in wide use, it would make more sense just to stick it in there.
Also, I'm talking about the HK121 (new weapon, looks similar to MG4), not the HK21.
