Hello!
and greetings from [MURO] "clan", we really love to play on your server mostly because of the good quality of teamwork on server. And also love the amount of players in Mumble. :)

We have had problems with our smartbalance immunity for few moths now. We made 2 post to your (NWA) forums and got an answer that says the immunity should work and we are on "the list". But still we can't switch sides when teams are like 32 - 30 and smartbalance is switching us to other side almost every time we play and thats pretty annoying.

Im thinking u have mispelled the clan tag or something?
Our tag is: [MURO]

Thank you in advance. :)

Marvelous games today gentlemen

however I had to intentionally teamswitch twice today to balance out the blufor lovers who kept switching to blufor, I don't mind being redfor - but I like variety.

Is there a way servers can log who selects intentional teamswitching? each month you'd be able to clearly see who is teamswitching too much, and crack down on them.

Its my only gripe on this server, otherwise its great :)

Thanks Rudd, we have been discusing this and what is the best way to stop switch for best kit and at what level smart balance starts to kick in. May be force no manual switch till the countdown reaches 1min so those that have been opfor the last round get a chance to make a squad with what ever asset they would like. Then when the loading in is complete squad making is dont any one who want to whore the "best kit" can switch. As long as the players who have just played 3 hours of opfor get a chance, with out being smart balanced (auto balanced) to make a squad and chose there roll for that round I dont mind the jump to blufor to make the teams even.
With any online game you always get the people who think they can do what they want and play what ever side they like no matter how unfair it is to others. Funny thing is they are the type of people who cry admin abuse as soon aas they get found out and kicked for griefing or asset wasting or switching mid round cos they are having a sucky game and want to switch no matter what effect it has on team balance.

As always if any one has any ideas we are open to discuss it at our forum. *NwA* Clan.

You weren't missed. : D

Kidding, but your teamswitch allowed for Mustardly to take over for the first time as a SL. I have to say I was very impressed with his leadership.

Nice round as always guys.

Regarding teamswitch, it can be a little annoying as sometimes it happens at the beginning of a round. I have used the universal chat and even the report function but I don't seem to get ahold of admins that can get me switched. I do understand that it's easy to get distracted and a pain in the *** to be an admin though, but is there any better way to gain an admins attention?

As for another subject, I was warned today (Al Basrah) for spawning in the unknown when I clearly did not. I had the arty kit (which is not able to be picked up on the cache, as you know) and was only there to plant a mine on the extreme of the bridge - close to that cache. I did actually took the apc out with an arty in the bridge southwest, but just in case I planted that mine to be sure I covered all angles. I was discrete, no enemy inf ever fired at me from the palace. It was also an arty kit and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't presume there was a cache nearby.

2/3 days ago I faced a similar issue when I spawned 100 m north of a cache in Operation Archer. This time one of your admins included my name along others that were around the unknown, when the enemy inf was clearly moving toward it - nvm an enemy jeep south of it covering their movement (hence why I was there). I died. Spawned a 2nd time and did the same thing and that's when the discussion gets heated...when the enemy inf is clearly 25 m west of it and the only cover I had is through the grass where it leads to the unknown.

My point is, the system works reasonably well, sure, but I hope when throwing warnings out there that the admin in question can read the situation properly.

This is better suited for the NwA forums, but to answer your question: remember that the admins are there primarily to play the game, not to hold lengthy discussions with people that appear to do something they shouldn't

How is decision making related anyhow to lengthy discussions?
That's the point I was trying to debate in the 2nd case I referred - it shouldn't of come to that.

I thought only discussion pertaining bans and the like were to discuss in the respective clan forum. This is not an individual appeal but rather dissecting the unknown cache warning system as the teamswitching one. Admins follow the best possible policy to deal with these issues and any kind of advices to get a fairer game for everyone by touching these topics in PR forum must be highly appreciated.

I do not have a grip with NwA btw, far from it, 90% of the times I play in their server for some reason.

if that happens again just type in team chat that there is enemy near the unknown and you need support. Our admins react to what they see if they are given intel they will not take it any further. Good comunication ie this is sqd xyz we have reports of enemy near the unknow we will spawn to defend it. Mumble sl channel is your friend.

We have adjusted the smart balance so auto switching should reduced.

I was initially hesitant to play here because I was used to the low ping U.S servers but I've found that having a ~200 ping does not limit my gameplay that much and the positives of the server outweigh any disadvantage to being a HPB.

The server is populated at the odd hour that I might play here in California and the admins are very thorough on keeping players off unknown caches on INS maps. Any players I've had to report are handled quickly and FAIRLY. Other servers will either disregard griefers and immediately kick players who are doing minor things or make mistakes which would just warrant a warning at the most.

Mumble seems like it's a mandatory thing on here which only improves the game experience and the teamwork is generally very good between squads.

Plus you Brits who populate the servers are quite a friendly bunch and some of the Scottish accents are a hoot to listen to when you get angry. LOL

*NwA* is quickly becoming one of my favorite servers to play on, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback.

Mumble is heavily promoted but not forced, The players that populate our server have come acustom to using it realising it have a massive effect on teamwork.

Also the new smart balance and auto balance settings are having a good effect with alot less auto balancing, which can only be a good thing.

This is the nr2 server I join when TG isn't up. Only other place I can go where(most of the time) I can find mature players and mumble users like we find on TG.

Keep it up
cheers

cant stand the Teamswitching on this server.

You can be in a good sqd with good score and kills then boom, teamswitched by admin cause someone else asks to be switched. way to much of it on this server and it ruins the game

When was that mate as we have sorted the auto balance setting so this dosnt happen any where near as often as it used too.. ALso admins are instructed to only switch players that are loading into the server to balance the sides.
If you get auto switched due to team unbalance thats not us thats AD/smart balance scripts. If the scripts kickin to balance the teams you can blame your fellow players for switching to get vest kit/armour and not our admins.
report team switching if you see it. It is disruptive to the team and already formed squads and there for a kickable offence.

Just had a great Muttrah round with a competent CO (Danger), even got shouted out for not helping a friendly squad out (Sorry Deft). Lots of mumble teamwork good stuff.
