Anyway I'd like to appeal to all those who are playing on the Sisu server, to not camp routes off and towards mainbases and do some sneaky "behind enemy lines" shit. Example, Kashan camping with AAVs/Tanks around North Village as MEC while the flag is not ingame. Even not being directly punishable for such behaviour you should try to avoid it as it can ruin gameplay. Bear in mind that you are not the only person on the server.

(For the record I'm not accusing anyone for the occurrence yesterday, just got reminded by it of such inconveniences).

What? That's the beauty of 4km maps... If you keep getting blown up because you continually take the same route over and over again, then you're doing it wrong. Either outflank and kill them or ignore them and let them stew by themselves for the entirety of the round.

Talking about the road leading towards north village you can take it as your backyard. Would you expect to get attacked by a Grizzly in your backyard? No. It might happen but very very rarely and under specific circumstances. Same goes for this so called "camping". It should not happen too often.

I put this in the same box as excessive roadkilling, HATing caches, using C4 to kill through walls and other exploits of the game(engine) itself. Many people use such tactics but they are contradictive to the PR mentality itself of FUN and TW. Getting taken out on the way home by an AA is certainly not fun but sometimes they deserve it, sometimes.
As already said they should occur only rarely.

From my point of view Rudd was in the right here.
He was in F3 for f**ks sake. 2000 meters from US main can under no circumstance be called baserape or anything like it in BF2PR.
That is just cutting you of, since you were using that approach, and for the MEC it worked that time.
Camping an area 2000 m from your main must be legal.
If the US set up in F9 shooting things going through SV, and to and from SB from there, I for one wouldn't consider that cheating or anything like it, even though that is closer to MEC main

F3 is more like 900m from the main base.. But playing like that can be done, although you should really support your infantry squads as you rely on them for spotting and they rely on you for killing the enemy armour/infantry when it's needed.

Sadly, the cooperation between armour and infantry, especially tanks and infantry, is rare.

that kashan round was the first night I'd had problems with the admining of the server, who was right and wrong really doesnt matter as I feel the lessons have been taken on, 2 admins for 126 people is asking ALOT of them. I am certain there won't be a repeat of this the situation.

those of you who's maths completely fails (4k map is 4x4), or just didn't really know what the situation regarding the incident was, I have made this little picture for you to explain exactly what happened, with a logical explanation of the events. This is simple information for the people who only caught half the conversation, not for disussion here.


Regarding the tank ambushing on the reverse slope of the NE hills, its not my place to decide that rule for the server, nor is it my place to enforce it; I can't go on one server and decide their rules for them, then move to another and do it there as well. PR servers have their own small flexibilities within the server license agreement, allowing communities and players to choose the server that best suits them. I abide by rules, I don't make or enforce them. And I certainly will not exercise any power over fellow PR players unless I am a commander or SL, when I play I am just 'one of the boys'. If the admin team has decided they don't want you doing something, then you don't do it.


The server is generally good with admins working tirelessly to ensure everyone is on mumble and getting rid of asshats. All I can say is, more admins probably means less workload.

this server is lacking in the admin department and it would seem that it is on purpose. i think they feel "cool" for being able to say that so few of them admin 126 players. when in reality the server sucks because of it. 2 guys going on a kick/ban spree because they dont have time to "look into things" or see whats going on is not a good choice.

You're wrong. We have 23 admins. Some of them have unfortunately been quite inactive after holidays begun and admin team moved from PRTT to Sisu.

You're wrong. Since first organized in PRTA we do have relevant rules and courses of action.

Being an admin is not to gain but contribute instead. Unfit ones will be removed.

You're wrong. I monitor admin work constantly. When PR test in on (48 hours/week), i always see 4-7 admins in duty. Since we're located in Europe, in the small hours (CET 04:00 ->) server quiets down and admins (sometimes) go to sleep...

There might have been some times, when only 2 admins are on-line. We execute strict policies because with up to 128 players there definitely is no time to repeatedly tell basic things and rules to everyone and we definitely aim at excellent gameplay. Moreover it is cluttering in-game chat. Basic rules and policies also scroll ingame (as server messages).

Moreover we do have forum for open discussion. If you have seen any admin abuse, please report it there. And also if you have some propositions, feel free to contribute.

i can only say my opinion, and how can an opinion be wrong? 4-7 admins is normal for a 64 server... let alone 128. the server has been like this forever now. maybe thats why the admins seem irrational at times?

What are you implying at? Do you have any proofs for this? If you are reffering to Rudd's/mine post, no one got kicked nor banned there. It was just a matter of warning. So please leave your erectile disfunction problems at home and don't get butthurt when you get kicked for not being a teamplayer/mumbler.

There were some inappropriate bans/kicks but compared to the work we have to overcome its completely legit as on smaller server there are even more issues.

The administration site has moved to "Sisu.kompassi.com". Any appeals/request what so ever can be made there.

A request from me, as asserter of teamwork, to cut down on such behaviour as its at some point very vanillaish and not teamwork promoting. This is not, nor will (ever) be a rule. Same goes for tank battles. Why fighting somewhere at the edge of the map and camping like daft, instead of supporting the infantry and if necessary neutralizing imminent threats. Again this is no obligation, just a demand to assure maxium teamwork and fun.

If you wanna keep it up, do so but baer in mind that the line towards rule-breaking very thin is.

im implying? what about you? can you prove that a smaller server has more problems than this one? because that doesn't make sense. now saying that the amount of players doubled would require double the admins makes sense. you also think im some sort of non mumble or non teamwork player... why is that?

I'm thinking this because your last post seemed like a rant, nothing else. Mentioning that we kick/ban because its cool is not anykind of feedback and just make you look like someone whos butthurt about being kicked, if thats not the case I apologize for my hasty judgement.
I do have lots of material that proves other 64 server have way more issues in terms of administration and right after the top notch servers (TG, NwA, PRTA) ours (Soppa's in the end) is the best admined.

Anyway our server needs way more admins, not just doubling but maybe even trippling the amount would be appropriate. As its very intresting to see that the server exponentially attracts more noobs/griefers the bigger it is.
