I have APC's,tanks, more kits, and the US look cooler.

I used to be a BLUFOR whore, if only for the reason that they have all the toys.

But as I've become more of an insurgency mode veteran, I've realized there is just as much, if not more, fun to be had as insurgents, specifically the Taliban. The fun just comes in a different way. Lucky RPG shots are fun, the Dragunov is a lovely rifle, and it's really fun laying waste to BLUFOR infantry in close quarters with an AK-47 or PPSH.

Overall, I like to alternate. I like both equally.

I prefer Blufor as I like heavy assets, but playing the Taliban side is ok as there is less pressure to perform as your life doesn't mean very much.

I like Guerrila Warfare, so yes, Insurgents ... BLUEFOR have all the advantage, with scopes, red dots, vehicles, etc... I prefer insurgents... I like to have a big chalenge. And the fact that we only have a AK with iron sights makes me enjoy it or a simple RPG or IED, makes a hell of a one

haven't voted because my preference isn't an option, and that is the hardest option, my favorite combination is Blufor on Korengal, but others that suit is IDF on Gaza, Ins on Karbala etc.

some maps are pretty even so i don't have a preference, like Al Basrah, WF, Op Archer etc.

Anyway, I kinda suck as an INS SL mainly because people tend to do less teamwork and are sometimes are not really interested in regrouping; I really like when people are interested in doing teamwork, not when I have to constantly remind them to stay together. Anyway, every round (US or INS) can be awesome if you have a good squadleader and your team is not full of lonewolf-minded individuals.

From Insurgency maps i like only: Iron Ridge. INS
This map is awesome for insurgency and the most realtic (caches aren't in the middle of desert/field but hidden at basemants, builing etc.)

For me, I like being blufor much better. I prefer playing as the US faction regardless of game mode, and playing as the insurgents killing US soldiers, even though its fantasy, just doesnt feel right.

I prefer BLUFOR nowadays, and it's not because of the assets at all. In fact I'd probably prefer an infantry layout (although convoys attacking caches are epic). Playing as an insurgent can be boring as hell, the momentum of the game lays on the BLUFOR team and, as an insurgent, doing anything other then camping the cache and the surrounding area is usually not going to yield any results unless your opponents are terrible. Of course, you can set up a fake cache or ambush spot somewhere but again, you have to WAIT there, and you can't have too many people doing that.

Other then that, there is always organized infantry squads on BLUFOR, and on good servers they work together with other inf, armor and CAS squads. Yes, there is teamwork between insurgents on good servers, but it's not on the same level for some reason. I guess it's because defending is easier and people don't feel like organizing defense.

Last, but not least, ATTACKING a heavily defended cache is thrilling. I remember some huge fights on SISU on Korengal Valley where I played as a US rifleman. Many will attest to the fact that it can be quite intense and the feeling of reward when destroying such a cache is great.

I like to play as Insurgents because of the whole underdog thing, and if you lose it's okay because you're the terrorists! WIN WIN!

Anyway, I like it when I don't feel like I would be effective as part of a tightly run unit - not to say you can't have a cohesive Insurgent squad, but I find that almost every Insurgent squad I am in is loosely organized (at best) unless it's run by a serious clanner/clanners.

There are several maps that I do not like to play on as Insurgents, Karbala definitely being the worst as any decent BLUFOR team can keep their armored and air assets alive with relative ease, the CROWS is deadly, and the Abrams usually only RTBs for ammo.

It IS funny catching a helo unaware with the sadly placed AAA near the mosque, but you usually get like one shot at that.

All in all, winning as the Insurgents (especially post-.966 it seems) is more rewarding unless the BLUFOR team is in a shambles and TKing each other.

I get enough of blufor-type action while playing AAS. While playing insurgency I enjoy the challenge of being the underdog. The rush of planting explosives and setting ambushes is a blast! (all puns aside) You have to completely change your tactics when playing as an insurgent. Your enemy has more advanced weapons and optics so you can't engage them on an equal playing field. Practicing a little patience allows you to get in close and exploit the element of surprise. With the proper tactics, there is no reason that the insurgent side couldn't put up a great fight and win a round.

BLUFOR all the way! Hunting Caches, avoiding ambushes is quiet entertaining.

I love being insurgents. because its pretty predictable to know were the BLUFOR will be coming. lay down some mines and IEDs, wait in a high building and watch them splode.

Not going to lie, I like to play as the Insurgents. It's just a fun faction to play as because it's not really conventional fighting, as weird as that may sound.

With a good Insurgent team, it's definitely the side I prefer for the most part on certain maps. I know my preference makes my sig look ironic too.

yeah theres something about being the less advanced faction. it makes it alot more satisfying when you destroy something of theirs and cause chaos for them. I also love the fact that you essentially have unlimited ammo if you think about it. And you have to use your head and improvise and create tactics that are effective. when your insurgents the BLUFOR are pretty predictable.

I like playing Insurgents sometimes, but i find that when i play them everything is uncoordinated, unlike playing BLUFOR, however it kinda depends on the map.

and BLUFOR has Canada so insta-win

I actually think Insurgents are stronger than BLUFOR. It is really hard to take out known caches, esp if the insurgent team is disciplined enough to not spawn on unknowns. But this isn't always the case - caches that aren't in cities are relatively easy to destroy. The size of the map factors in alot, smaller maps tend to be easier for BLUFOR because it's easier to find unknowns. And of course the design of the map is important too - Karbala isn't small but it has alot of remote cache spawns that are not only easy to check out if they are unknown, but when known they are easy to attack with all the assets the BLUFOR has at their disposal. This is opposed to f.e. Ramiel that has less remote cache spawns, most of them are in the city or close to the city (except for the Docks area, even the village to the SE of the city is close to the city and a spawning point, making it easier to reinforce and harder to attack).
