Calm down man, its 24 hours for FFS. What specific regions were banned from FCV, Brennan?

While it sure is a drastic approach to stop a attack I can only say that it was a smart decision at the time IMO. Good job man. Although in the future I would not use this method to often as the damage done to your EU playerbase can get bigger then the ddoss attack itself. Make sure not to punish the player too often for it ;)

Also, Atom, good to see you joining the army. Will do you good I think. Including a bit of time off of PR perhaps...

Had to respond to it quickly. I will look into better resolutions in the future.

Would I be correct in assuming that it's open to anyone who has their application selected?

I went to put in an application for infantry and it said that I didn't have permission to view the page. Does my FCV forum account need a higher post count?

Maybe you needed to verify your e-mail? :P

I don't think that's it, as I am allowed to post on the forum.

No clue. We have been dealing with networking issues. In the midst of changing data centers in LA. It will stay in LA, however.

Today my havoc was shot down at ~200 alt over main on Kashan Desert. Not only did the admins not do anything(not even a warning), but I was told by somebody that it was an admin who shot us down -- ReapersPr0digy. Happened about 3:30 PRT on the 30/08 if anybody wants to check BR.

This person deserves some serious discipline, and if it's an admin, that is the single worst piece of admin abuse I've ever seen, and I've seen some bad shit in my day.
Since this is also a feedback thread, I've noticed sub-par adminning on this server, but it usually hasn't been a serious problem.

Appreciate the report, Liam. Will be taken care of. And it wasn't an admin who was doing that.

Liam, it was a guy in my squad who shot down the Havoc, I was no where near your main at the time so I cannot say if you were in DoD or not. I said that it was under control because I told him in squad chat to move away and if he did it again he was going to be banned. All I heard was "we shot down the Havoc!" from him.

Thanks for the responses. We were above the DOD, which is why we were shot down.
I'm still pretty pissed that nothing came of this, and likely nothing will, to be honest. But at least it wasn't an admin; the only intel I get that round and it's wrong.

Oh trust me, I yelled at him a lot. He didn't know you were above DoD, so I couldn't just blame him and ban him. I made him get out of there immediately.

FCV and PRTA are "merging" per se. What does this mean?

Final FCV Announcement
FCV Incorporates into PRTA

The players, units, admin team aswell as key personnel are moving over to PRTA. This will open a new North American side to PRTA. This decision comes after a long discussion and votes on the matter in PRTA and FCV.

The following units that will be integrated are =DRK= Drakelings led by Bluedrake42 and [TZ] Tier Zero led by Chefmoto & ReapersPr0digy. More will be coming shortly.

For all newcomers to PRTA originating from the FCV community, in order to be eligible to become a member of a unit & obtain membership within PRTA you must register on the forums and once you have been accepted you are to register for a unit. Becoming a member of PRTA will unlock oppurtunities such as whitelisted early-access map testing, special event participation, and reserved slots for all of the Project Reality servers. Once you are registered on the forums please apply for unit & PRTA membership here:

New Staff & Personnel
This move was due to the leadership within FCV requesting technical freedom and to cooperate with more skilled personnel within PRTA in order to reach their goals and expand their boundaries as they have been under management overload the past few months. The new "Lead Admin" of the North American Admin team will be ReapersProdigy, he will also work aside with the PRTA Management.

The new PR:BF2 Administration Team will consist roughly of around thirty admins and they will only inherit administration privelages on the North American servers in order to avoid controversy between international policies on both sides of PRTA. However, there will be a few Administrators who currently have privileges on both servers, they will keep their admin privileges on both North America and Europe during the North American merge with PRTA as long as they are still understanding of the policies that differ between both continents (which in the public eye should be very vague). Any personnel who would wish to obtain administrator privileges on either North America, Europe, or both need to follow the appropriate PRTA Administrator "Application Process" (subject to change) for either admin team, this applies to everyone, all admins coming from FCV will have to reapply and their applications will be reevaluated in an expedited manner, yet, they will all still have to obey the senate & initiation process of the election within PRTA.

Administrators from FCV and Personnel Interested will have to fill out this application and be approved or denied by the proper personnel in charge of the application process.

Long as it does not destroy the fun FCV server or pander to US/EU players, I don't care. :)

Why shouldn't they pander to US/EU players? They are by far the biggest demographic of PR players.
