lol thanks. I didn't ment that project has wallpaper but rather more than a picture to see and enjoy
Unfortunately that's the last work I have done and I have just started with college so I'm pretty tied up with my hands on my back.
And I still have to work on like 15 request pictures

I'm not planning on working on anything related to the JSDF, at least not in the near future has I still want to go trough the requests and other projects of my own.
But hey this picture was inspired by this topic (specially the discussion going around the Type 10 MBT) so I thought I should show it up

yknow that picture reminds me a lot of a few scenes where you see the UN's tanks in Evangelion.

Hey guys,
The lovely custom statics posted on the last page inspired me to try make something of my own for the JGSDF mod
I'm not exactly sure
what it is, but it'd fit in nicely with those factories from the last page imo

. It's your's if you want it. Oh, and the trees aren't included, they come with max and have an insane poly count
Nice pic Panzerfire, what program did you make that in? 3DS?

Wow, this is really coming along nicely! I wish you all the best of luck, and want to congratulate you for the awesome work you've done so far. ;D
A JGSDF subforum is not far away, I'm sure of it.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates on my part.
My computer just recently crashed so now I'm only working on a netbook that can't run either Photoshop or BF2

I'll hopefully get a desktop for gaming soon, but until then, I can't do anything at all...
But Noobage's pic got me thinking, should I put snow on trees for the Hokkaido map? A rural muddy/snowy woodland map would be pretty cool
EDIT:
Some pics I found on Google Earth of central Hokkaido (Around Biei)

Now imagine an overcast day in March when all the snow starts to melt and the ground gets all muddy
That's what I want to fight in
Having those rolls of hay could be neat, because the plains would be good tank country, but then infantry could use them as cover and even ambush tanks with H-AT missiles from them.

Too bad to here your computer crashed

That will slow the progress on this. But hopefully not stop it
Also... your map suggestion for a Hokkaido-based map is pretty good. I've checked those photos and you got my vote. It'd be perfect for a rural combat between armored units.
Perfect for JSDF VS Russia/China.

I looked up Rishiri in Google Earth just now, and while it looks really nice, I think the density of the tree would be hard to replicate in PR and would have a hit on gameplay because it would limit the combined arms feature of PR. So I went looking at Rebun Island, just northeast of Rishiri, and found this:
Panoramio - Photo of 礼文岳登山é“
Panoramio - Photo of Path entrance to Rebun Mountain
Panoramio - Photo of Kushu lake/久種湖
Panoramio - Photo of Kushu lake/久種湖

Panoramio - Photo of Nishiuedomari Gyokou (looking S.E.)
Panoramio - Photo of Kushu lake/久種湖
Panoramio - Photo of Rebun Logging Road/礼文林é“
Panoramio - Photo of Rebun Logging Road/礼文林é“
I think this could have a lot of potential
EDIT:
I made a somewhat 2km ^2 map and got this:

Surely we can add shacks and other buildings/objects in the hills in the center for gameplay's sake,
You can see the position in the Panoramio pics below.
All of the "Rebun Logging Road" pics are of this area.
Here's some pics of the small port/road in the lower left:

I was thinking something like the OPFOR landed at the port and the Japanese have a camp/"FOB" in the top right corner.

Holy Sh*t!
That should keep hostiles outta Japan
Those serpentine roads would be a nice touch. They'd also give a nice sight and road for the MBTs.

two thumbs up for this thread with the eva references
adding JGSDF for PR would be great for BF2142 (for the obvious reasons

)

Can someone find/post references for the blue F-4 from the JASDF? I especially need pics of the underside and the wings.
I got Photoshop installed on my tiny 10" computer, but can't test how it looks until my new computer comes in. But the shop messed up my shipping, so it'll be another week before that happens
EDIT:
Could someone who knows Japanese post the Romaji spelling of what's on the intake here
http://www15.tok2.com/home/lttom/milita ... -4-004.jpg
then I can put that on my skin
