It's a good thing that PRTA changed and starts listening to the community!

And ATGM got nerfed,it cannot one shot tanks from front anymore. Its pointless for IFVs to be in armour squad anymore...
Eh, how often does a tank angle his front armor 100% toward you anyway? There is almost always a small bit of side armor or even top armor you can hit wit the ATGM for massive damage.

Because there's no difference if you play on server X or on server Y, im gonna pick whatever has more players, since PR right now struggles to fill even one server.

Theres always a full server pretty much everyday without struggle. Just last week there were 2 almost 3 servers that were full. Yes the community is declining but not in the way that you put it.

Since the stoneage of PR the common ruleset for claiming assets was:

- Tank
- APC (including BMP's and other IFVs)
- CAS
- Trans

With MECH INF being an exception, they were allowed to take an APC but neither the APC squad or MECH INF squad have a priority.

Maybe just go back into that simple ruleset. AAV always were an grey area, might just keep it that way. Admins have enough to do already.

Just make a common ruleset like the other popular servers and you will be fine.

I've always thought that asset heavy maps are detrimental to this game, because they are boring to infatntry. Do you guys collect any data that show the number of players and the maps being played?

Lately there seems to have been less bullshit going in regards to admining here. After asking for switch usually yields a wuick response.

Cant say that im a fan of the 2aas 2ins map rotatiln though.

Yeah, 2 ins in a row is not fun.

2 INS in a row is fine, Back at Hardcore there was a lot of discussion about 2AAS2INS. While it allowed for more INS rounds it was alot harder to balance the server, you would end up spending 2 rounds to balance the server only to go back to INS and cause it to become unbalanced again.

What was the gamemode vote? If people voted twice for ins then 2ins maps were ran.

I tried the 2AAS2INS thing, I didn't quite like it nor did I like the response. We will try not to do it again, it's not quite for us.

because it requires actual teamwork which most dont want or wont do.

You can only guess what would happen, as it is played very rare. This game mode is the best thing that you can experience in PR, it's a shame that it isn't played at all.

It doesn't really work in it's current state in public play which is a shame, hopefully what Frontliner is trying to do with CnC Redux will fix that.

some of the admins put it in the map vote aas ins cnc on hog, and we would do it more but you guys that know how to play it need to help promote it. I agree it is the best mode, love playing it.

Well, perhaps it doesn't work because ppl don't know how to play this game mode. If it will be runned a few times it will work.
There is another problem. No mic = kick/ban. As I see, admins don't like kicking players without mics. It has to be changed.

What should I do? Is spaming '!r do !mv aas ins cnc pls' okay?
Perhaps ppl should be forced to read this part of the manual:

'CNC:
This game mode features large freeform battles. There are no capturable CPs, but instead each team must place a single forward operating base (FOB) (see deployables Section) somewhere on the map. The objective is to defend the team's FOB while trying to find and destroy the enemy FOB. When a team loses their FOB they will suffer a huge ticket penalty and continue to lose tickets until they build a new one. The FOB must be placed at least 200m from the map's borders. Building your team’s FOB closer to the map's center increases the ticket loss that the enemy will suffer while their FOB is down. Both teams can build more defenses in a bigger radius near their FOB than in other game modes.'

That's all you need to know.

Our admin team could throw it in there every now and then if you guys really really want to play this game mode  It also helps with the monotony of standard AAS. However, I do miss playing an INS round in between 2 or 3 AAS rounds though. But ever since we reintroduced the voting system on our server majority of players will select AAS unless we remove it as an option completely.

As for people not understanding CnC; if we just run the game mode enough times on all servers then people will learn it so maybe that could be the first step. If someone messes up (e.g. building your only FOB out in the open or not communicating with other squads about fob placement) then they'll know because of the inevitable scrutiny from their team at the end. Another step is for players to notify uninformed players to prevent the mess up in the first place.
