Superb server, again. Players are better than other servers, in my opinion. 'Top notch' as they say. :D

'[R-COM wrote:MrSh@vid;1169589']Has it ever crossed your oh so mighty self that perhaps you where the one in the wrong? Most of the players who play on our servers do so because they enjoy the experience , and the majority of them have no problems with any of the admins. (And when they do it is sorted out.)
Why do they have no problem? Because they follow the rules. If they don't they are called into line and generally their is no more problem. A small minority of players who don't follow the rules are dealt with swiftly and with the full weight of an admins power.
These are then the people that dislike the server, why? Because they can't follow rules.
Follow the rules and you won't have a problem, and if you still have one, well it will be sorted out.
When the server was created earlier this year it was done so because members of UKWF where sick and tired of playing on servers with little rules, admins that did f**k all , and generally a playground for rule breakers.
Which is why we have imposed a zero tolerance rule for bullshi*ers on the server, if your stupid enough to not follow the rules you will be punished.

Tophatter94 wrote:My opinion of the server:

It is a very well kept server. Typically the players are very friendly (Although, the last time I played there, there was one guy going on and on about how the "USA is better than the Brits, and how Brits are 'pussies.'" but that was just one guy :wink :)

I love the UKWF Insurgency server, especially when Al Basrah is being played. It seems like there is less "noobs" on this server. Everybody knows what there doing or is at least obligated to stop doing something if they don't know exactly what they are doing. It's very hassle free. Never experience bad players, never seen the server have to restart because of 'jackassery.'

I recommend everybody plays on the UKWF server(s) at least once!
Cheers for the feedback-Glad you've enjoyed your stay!

Me too, the times I have spent in this server was great. Like Tophatter94 said, despite couple of troublemakers, they are a lot of good players and especially mature ones.
Also, there is a real presence of admins lol.
The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities... It is best to win without fighting.

I hope one day this server will make mumble mandatory as well, given that its probably the most popular/populated all the time server for PR.

Well we do try our best to keep the server administrated as much as possible and when we see troublemakers we try to deal with them as quickly and effectively as possible. However their will be occasional moments when no admins are on, and in these situations your best bet is to remeber the names of offenders and report them on our website as per this thread :

UK Warfare - View topic - How to report a player

It's been asked before why we don't use mumble as heavily as other people and its for several reasons.
The Majority of our admins and some regulars are older players (35-50+) and as such can sometimes be a bit slow or not so computer literate, as such having 4 keybindings or so for talking and 4 different sources of incoming sound can cause them to be slightly confused.
Secondly , and it's sad to say mumble is open to a lot of abuse and the annoyance of people forcing center, playing music or spamming "MIC CHECK" led to a fair few of our players getting pi**ed of with the system.
Finally i think the attitude of some of the users linked in with the first point in that most of our residents don't like being told, "mumble T-bag" or "hahahhaa pwned fag" over mumble or seeing people use it to cheat.
Perhaps over time it will be used more again, as the program develops to prevent people abusing it and the community of users matures with it, until then you may find a few of us on their but don't expect a mumble only rule anytime soon.

Cheers,

Shavid.

In light of today's ban/kick extravaganza on the insurgency server, I would like to reiterate the following rule:

Do not insult other players. Abuse towards other players is not acceptable. Racism/bigotry/homophobia as well as derogatory comments about Arabs, Jews, Muslims, Christians, American and British service men and women etc. will result in a direct ban, no !w, no !k.

I realize that for some people using ugly and derogatory terms towards others is "ok on the internet", and that insulting different faiths, races and nationalities is fine; not on our server.
Thank you.

Hey Elektro

We're not sure what caused the problem but are working with our server provider to try and solve it,

Hey guys,

just a brief update from UKWF regarding the server issues:

Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to determine the source of the infrequent connection issues that people have been experiencing throughout the day.

We are going through all the regular motions, i.e. reinstalling punkbuster etc., to determine the source of the problem and we are working with our provider to address the issue as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your loyalty towards our servers and will do everything possible to solve the issues as soon as possible.

Thank you and see you on the battlefield.

Best,
