Could you recruit more admins for cases like this, weekend nights?

In cases like this I would argue that it's better to join another server which has admins playing.

Admin =/= teamwork.

I'm sorry, but can you be a bit more specific?

A good move would be to have the last admin use !stopserver. It's a little harsh but it's an immediate injection of ~90 people to the other servers that are online and have admins.
I've noticed NEW doing this occasionally when the last admin is on at ~3am or so, and it usually results in 1 EU server reseeding and one East coast server seeding.

The absence of admins overnight has been a real issue in my experience. Last time I played on MeRk, about a week ago, we had multiple team killers on both teams and not a single admin or mod online to ban them. I forgot their name by now, but some people said they were going to report them on the server forums.
In any case, scenarios like these will always happen when there are no admins to enforce the rules. That's why I like LiamBai's idea to stop the server when it's clear that there won't be any admins online for the next few hours.

I will defiantly look to implement the killserver command to our admins, I do know the feeling of having no admins with all the **** that happens and I do agree with what you are saying, point taken fellas I'm on it.

Yeah, a large number of new players will just join whichever server is fullest, regardless of whether it has active admins or whatever. EU servers should probably agree to shut down when they don't have admins no more, that's pretty much our policy anyway.

Just implement community kick voting or even ban voting. Let us sort things out ourselves.

That will most certainly not be implemented.

Well I'm saying that it should and it used to work
Clearly preferable from my perspective to a Kill Switch considering we are already dealing with Server crashes.
Feel free to add some arguments to your thoughts or to be ignored next time.

Since us admins has paid for the server, decided what rules to follow and how to run it. I am sure that I can speak for the entire admin team when I say that we want full control over who gets kicked or banned on our server.
It also opens up for abuse if anyone can start a kickvote against players in their own team. (unlikely but still)
Lets say that a guy gets kicked via kick vote, then comes to our forum complaining about getting kicked when not breaking any rules. What are we supposed to do about that? Say: "Sorry your team thought you were shit so they kicked you"
From my personal point of view I would rather kill the server then having it running without admins. If not there is always the option to report rulebreakers on our forum afterwards.

Meh, that's how it works on Counter Strike and BF2. Nobody ever complains about a community kickvote. You can't quite get banned on those games by the community but since this is a more mature one I think even that could be entrusted. A ban for 1 hour or something.
You know when you've been kickvoted because you get an other message than if an admin kicked you.
Would be fun to be able to kick admins
And you know what, from all my years of playing CS, I've never seen that happen in a decent server

Never seen the BF2 Vanilla Kickvote System worked like intented on a PR server. People will just troll around and kickvotes all the the time but never enough to actually kick someone.
Better get some decent and trustworthy people from your community that are playing late and hand out some light admin rights with !k, !tb, and !setnext.

Never seen any working kickvote system. Even though it could work in some situations, it always ends up being spammed by trolls or just from mad players who want to see the good ones being kicked.

Works as god intended on COOP sometimes, you have to sell your case via text as to why you want a guy kicked.

It can easily be abused by a status quo or a group of friends who just wants someone to suffer.
The current system with admins allows us to force players who might not like eachother to play togheter.
I think it would be more fun if everyone had admin rights. This would basically be a wild west. Everyone has a gun!

We have updated our rush rule, please read and understand. Ask if there is any uncertainties.
Do not rush past the middle grey flag at the start of a map, you may only push past it when the AAS marker says so. You may not either hinder the enemy team from capping their first flags, be it HATing armour, killing infantry etc. If you can spawn on/near a grey flag then that flag is excluded from the rushing rule. Clearing out flags and then moving on is fine once all flags are capped, but prolonged "camping" is not acceptable.
edit: rule slightly modified
