it is such an experience especially when the ramp is open even though your strapped in its still scary.
'[R-DEV wrote:AfterDune;504093']Arjan, [scrambled] is NOT possible. Many attempts have been made, but it's just not possible. What you saw is most probably a trick to fool you or not BF2. A hook is just another "vehicle" and as everyone knows, BF2 vehicles CAN'T get along with each other.
You know the way when people spawn the kind of drop from a high elevation very quickly and click to the ground? couldnt you make a combo of that with some sore of fake rope image thats temporary. idk just a suggestion i guess.
This chinook is brilliant dude!

Ive seen that video where they drive a boat into the back of the chinook.
Im not sure you should be able to land on water with the engine off, would be good if it was a bit more durable vs water though

should not be too hard to do, i did make even a tank swimming in bf2 basicly you add the swimmers of the LAV-25 (invisible objects) to the vehicle and thats it

tbh i think just using it as a normal helo without the whole landing on water thing would be fine, since its causing so much bother
for example how much landing in water are you going to do in Afganistan or Iraq?

wow thats crazy It'd be great to have a new water capable type craft. Could even use it as a static model starting point for smaller beach assault type maps instead of the carrier

hey is a sling possible for the chinook? I been playing BFV for a bit and love just bringing the tanks and stuff in from the carrier on iwo
I assume they use the same engine?

Dont think its possible but apparently it is the same engine roughly. I presume the devs dont have access to the engine directly in the same way as they did in bfv
The Refractor Engine, is a game engine designed by Stockholm-based studio Refraction Games, first developed for the computer game Codename Eagle, which was released in November 1999. Since then, Refraction Games was bought by Digital Illusions CE, and working alongside with the Refraction Games team, designed and developed the Refractor 2 Engine for the famous Battlefield game series for the computer.[1] The following list of games uses the Refractor 2 Engine: Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield Heroes.

I dont think its possible, afaik bf2 uses an updated version of the version bfv had,and the collisions in bf2 dont work well, that why pr/bf2 doesnt have any smaller landing crafts.
