Yeah I noticed it did that too (2 icons in system tray). Not sure why ... but if you minimize and maximize again one goes away.

FCP should now be called Squad Leader Radio ... and thats the shortcut you should be adding for Force Center. It should now be second in the list just under Push-To-Talk, which has been renamed Local Speech.

Still, I am curious how You comminicate with more than 6 people in a close area. Does the APC driver need to yell "APC driver next to You guys, do You need a ride?" in order to deliver a faint whisper to the team members standing nearby? How many people have it configured properly, so that You can hear them according to their right distance?
when a loud vehicle is being used, i.e. APCs etc you can hear them, but its the same as som1 talking to u on voip next to a loud vehicle...its hard.

But if ur inside the vehicle generally you can hear them fine since in APCs etc the engines aren't as loud.

But yea, I've ran over to an APC before now to give it a bearing on an enemy.

yeah< I liked that we can call it names that people will understand now, great job!

Well mumble lowers the general volume so you can hear the speech better same as voip.

In any case you can´t complain you can´t hear people with mumble/TS, just reduce in game effect sounds or increase teamspeak/mumble in the sound mixer.

Curious to hear some answers.
One of the best uses of mumble once you have it configured correctly (or using the official PR version) is when you are in tanks or the like. Mumble is a great way to communicate gunner to driver. It clears the rest of the VOIP channel for important info from the SL or spotter ... and generally tanks are far enough apart to be outside 70m from each other.

agreed, and also telling the driver of an apc quickly where you want to go, updating on route as well!

As well as that you can talk to the guy you just knifed while teabagging him :p

Does anyone else have a problem with the Mumble client crashing when trying to add a Squad leader Radio shortcut? I am using Vista 64 bit and I am unable to create a shortcut for force center as it crashes every single time and I am forced to re-configure the sound settings after each crash...

Desmo I had the same issue the first time I tried creating shortcut keys. Im not sure but I think it might have been the choice of key/mouse button I tried to bind it to. Try some other keys and-or give comp a restart and see if that fixes it.

I had, but I tried to add 2 commands at the same time (self mute and deafen). Then I tried to do so but separatly and it worked.

Once I stop changing it so fast and frequently I will put version numbers in there instead ... but at the moment its a waste of effort changing them as a day later its different. The exe will always be called what it is though ... its too much hassle to change all the name references in the installer script each time. I will drop the (beta) tag when its ready , but thats all.
Oh yeah, didn't notice that before, that's fair enough if your updating it that frequently at the moment, keep up the good work. Have you seen the thread I started in the suggestions section come to think of it, I asked Jaymz to take a look but he's understandably pre-occupied at the moment.

The PR skin is working fine now by the way, but the icons are still those dull ugly little sods, is that how it's meant to be for now? I can't remember what the skin looked like when I got it to work with the original install of mumble.

Is it still doing this after the advice the others gave ? These are the things I need to hear about if it is.

If you still get problems, if you could deinstall both the PR version and the official version and then just install the PR version and see if you still have problems ? (they only take a couple of seconds to install and deinstall)

I can't see anything in the suggestions section ... a link ?

Anyone else experiencing annoying "clicking / crackling" sounds when somebody is speaking? It doesnt happen in game but it would be nice to chat with guys using Mumble outside of the game too.

And seems its not server related issue since it happens on every server. My voice however is clear to everyone else. I tried to fiddle around with the Jitter Buffer but without results. Any ideas? I'm using onboard Realtek HD blahblah integrated sounds.
