I prefer laying ieds and blowing them up,depends also if I'm on BLUFOR I prefer to use the LAT and hunt insurgents and caches

I hope 1.0 revamps current INS maps and adds some new ones, every time I load up PR lately there's a big lack of any INS matches.

You just have to be at the right time for it.

You're right though, there should be more insurgency maps in my opinion.

It is a personal opinion , I guess you like AAS , but other people do like INS if it played in a correct way and a good balance in your team between frontline insurgents , supporting troops and sappers.

And for Zonex I agree with you , I would love to see a Helmand map , or a Kunar Province map. But I guess we need to deal with the fact that making AAS maps is easier , at least that is what I think.

I preffer both

Blufor-better weapons, vehicles,and need always a good teamplay for destroying caches.

Playing as insurgents they may not have all the fancy stuff but it is fun ambushing blufor, and the feeling when your squad takes down a APC is great.

I always play insurgents because it's much more.fun to kick better equipped asses.
Fallujah and basrah are the only maps I play. Archer is shit because of Canadians, korengal is boring, lashkar also.
Aas is the only real mode

thios makes a true party atmosphere for the insurgent who dont give a flying spaghetti monster if they die most of the time.

great for pubs you get Deceit/deception/baiting/fake calls for help etc

Honestly? Blufor. But I wouldn't switch teams in the beginning of a round just to be Blufor.

Some maps are great playing as an insurgent/Taliban. It is different gameplay, especially since some players in some servers just ignore the concept of being in a squad as insurgent.

God I hate people, that change teams to opfor just before the round ends just to be blufor the next round

I wonder who they are...

Love to play on the insurgent side. It's more relaxed, you can plant IED's and ambushes, don't have to worry too much about tickets or asset-wasting fools. Playing as BLUFOR is amazing too, as long as you have a good squad.

Ur telling me that we could use fake cries of help on local chat to lure BLUFOR to IEDs? OMG that should be brought back!!!!

Although I'd agree on using "one-channel-mumble" to use in a tactical way and to open more layers of realism (and I actually voiced that towards the DEVs already) I had to come to the conclusion that it simply wouldn't work. For two very different reasons.

1) irl most Russian soldiers wouldn't understand one word of what the IDF squad upstairs is talking about. While, as I said, I'd agree it would make sense to actually hear that they are there, it would be a ***** to set it up like that. You needed all the stuff being said on channel 1 to be able to be heard on channel 2 with some sort of a "muffle-effect" in order to not understand them. People would quickly turn to other com-software (TS) in order to avoid that the enemy could hear them.


2) People are spamming whenever they get the chance to do so and (in general) the players are not able to handle such a responsibility (like the possibility to annoy 63 other people) in a way functional human would handle it. Heck, 99 % of the mumble noise in between rounds are animalsounds or cursewords. Barely, someone talks about how a situation went down, or congrats the enemy tank squad for a good fight, etc.


You can mod the coms-software but you can't mod the player!

I like playing Insurgent when I don't care about playing or when I have to focus on administrating.

As BluFor, I have way too much pressure not to waste assets by ambushes/IEDs. Its really quite stressful for me.

You see this happening in some servers quite a lot. I've played in more civilized servers, but I don't think I believe this is necessarily a more "mature, serious community" after hearing all those 11 year olds. It annoys me SO F&?!*#$& MUCH.

But yeah, not only because of this, single-channel does not work.

I prefer insurgents. Because i love to do guerilla warfare with my friends against enemy armour, heli cas, apc, tow, weapons with scopes etc...

Insurgents. It's so fun to rig up IED's and run around with RPG's and AK's when playing with friends.

So much fun cruising in the hood with techis and drive by the blufor or flyng KIOWAS the rest is boring for me
