The [NEW] Joint Operations is a weekly teamwork night hosted by New Era Warfare. The event takes place every thursday at 19.00 PRT and occasionally on other days for special events and map tests.

With Joint Operations we seek to bring those PR-players together who enjoy to play PR at its best: - coordinated, teamwork-oriented and balanced! This can only work if all the players work together to achieve these goals.

Therefore, we have a zero tolerance policy for these events: By joining the server you agree that you have read and understood the server rules and will follow and respect them at all times!
[NEW] New Era Warfare - Server Rules
The server runs a fixed maplist with the option to vote on maps and layouts once we finished the last map on the list. The maplist is discussed publicly in the [NEW] forums in advance. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion and suggest a single map, a full maplist or a layout. The maplists are chosen for two weeks.

Yes we are a german clan that speaks german surprisingly, but when we have english speaking people joining the squad we try to keep everything in english as best as we can. We dont speak native english though.

Regarding locked squads, that happens at some point when you have special people joining your squad that just do want they feel like. Still when you see a locked squad just ask and we'll open for sure.
Only because of a KSK in squad name does not mean you are not allowed to join, its more of a hint that we try to keep it a bit more serious and will boot everyone without disciplne. (do not confuse this with milsim, no milsim here)
Most of the time we are just three clan people and fill the rest with pubbies.

Teamstacking happens mostly because one of the bigger clans join the server slowly. You dont notice it right away, but once the round finishes and the next is about to begin you suddenly notice 20 clan guys + friends crushing the server. They dont do this intetionally and will balance on next round start.
Yeah, but that is rarely the case that they balance it. But the problem isnt having 10-20-30 people from the same clan. Its the fact that everyone else has to compromise. If we are two clans on one side and lets say a couple of 3dac guys comes online in great numbers. They should be able to play together, surely, but that means you'll maybe have to switch bad players over to their sides. Its not about the clan tag itself or how many players with prefixes that determines the balance but the actual players. Now, as I said, we are not a big community and everyone got a hang of who can play and who doesnt. This means admins at that point have a good knowledge how to swap teams around in order to balance and which players to fill a side with. If you see 20 people from one clan joining that means you'll have to stack the other side or switch over smurfs to the other side. If you see a clan joining which consists of less skilled players you might be able to leave them on the side which is filled with the big clan. I believe everyone should be able to play with their clans but then its up to admins to stack the other side up to balance the fact that the other team is somewhat better organised.

Now with the locking of squads, I find it helpful not to drive myself insane having people in the squad who dont listen. I find it very easy to open my squads whenever people tell me or ask me to open. On Alex picture I reckon it might have been me or some other merk leading that squad but I think its pretty justified locking 7/8 squad. :lol: I dont know, just saying.

UncleSmek you are always free to join the NEW TeamSpeak and suggest balancing issues.
I usually ask others in Teamspeak when it comes to balancing to discuss who should switch and how we could improve the gameplay.

So next time there are balancing problems join our teamspeak and suggest moving a player group.

We all want to have fun while playing and rushing the enemy is not that fun if they run around like headless chickens

I agree with uncle, don't take it personally NEW (you got a great server) just keep in mind that you guys cater for 98 players, not just half of that, apart from that all i can say is, great server, good admins and full of German fun...keep calm and crack on ;)

I agree with uncle about the balance isssues. You know how "good" most of the players/clans on NEW are and also how many players they normally have which allows you to balance better. You should also try to never have 2 big clans on one side and small ones on the other side because steamroll will be ensured.
All in all admins respond/act fast (apart from balance reports)

Played on NEW for the first time the other day. It was fun for the rounds I was there, But I found it frustrating to get warned every 2 minutes for not having 4 people in my trans squad when there was only one chopper.

I'm very pleased that you had a good time. Regarding your frustration, please keep in mind that a) you need to be at least 4 people in a squad to lock (or have enough people to man all your assets, as in just 2 pilots for cas etc.) and b) transchoppers are NOT a claimable asset.

We know that this is somehow different and confusing for people playing for the first time with us, but this is how we do it and it works like a charm IMO.

No admins online saturday late evening... where is this going? Accept admin-applications on your website or please have 2-3 admins online saturday evenings. It is just sad if no next map can be chosen when there are 80-90 players on the server (and skirmish could be next map)! :(

^ Skirmish was set intentionally to kill the population as far as I know.
Because the only admin had to go. After Skirmish was still full of players, an other admin joined and stopped the server (because he had no time either).

But yeah, admin activity is being worked on.

I really like that you play Hades w/o CAS as it is bugged. You should do the same on Charlies Point: No AAV for NVA. That would make the map more balanced and maybe actually winnable for USMC. Right now it is just getting raped by one vehicle for 60min :(

Yes, we also thought about this (after the same round you may have played yesterday with us) and will discuss it + implement it, if the we aggree on it. I also think the AAV is simply OP on this map.

Omg don't nerf a realistic asset in PR... On Charlie's Point US can EASILY fly somewhere, build few fobs, drop several squads, bring in more troops with boats. It's ONE AAV, not three...

Part of the reason it's so OP right now is that it isn't realistic. It's received several tweaks in 1.3 that improve that and nerf it somewhat at the same time.

It's dual 57mm AZP S-60 fire between 100 and 140 rounds per minute. Muzzle velocity is 1,000 m/s. Each clip has 4 rounds...
Armor is 8-15mm, engine is a V-54, 12-cylinder 4-stroke V-shaped airless-injection water-cooled 38.88 liter diesel 520 hp (388 kW) at 2,000 rpm...

So only the clip system should be introduced... The rest is realistic AFAIK?

It's the same issue on all servers, including PRTA. I really wish we could cover the PR population better. Hopefully there won't be any major griefing issues because of the lack of coverage at times.
