The player models have been done for some time now, along with their kits :D

also, are you planning to make the buildings destructible? :\ (making the 3d models for the buildings in perfect condition and the destroyed models as well)
I wouldn't mind, but wouldn't it look a little tacky for a five storey building to suddenly turn to a small pile of dirt when you fire an AT4 at it?

We can do something like in Medal Of Honor (first of the name) when you shoot at high store buildings, only some part of the floor fells... but it's MoH, not BF2!

I could model that, but say if you shot at the second floor of a five storey building, would there be any way to get the floors above the second floor to collapse too?

maybe. I've been modelling a five storey building in my town, and I've came up with a decent technique to model multi storey buildings with an interior. If I'm able to model the stairs on my factory (there's WIP screens in my blog somewhere :P ) I'll try to model an interior on this building. Frankly I think it's a little pointless because it's not exactly going to be the most interesting building on the inside, but sure whatever the people want

It is, it's an 19th (?) century maltery. My model is, at a rough guess, 30% complete: I have to add detail to the whole interior and exterior, weld the floors together (that'll be fun :lol :) and model the parts that were demolished (almost half the building)

Anyway, I've been working on the Lavs interior, it's about 20% finished :)

noobage, that building is made of win!

are you confident in texturing that? i think its worthy of some higher support to get it looking pro. i always thought PR was well worth having objects imported with the same or in-and-around-abouts the same style of COD4 buildings. and this one might be just right for a nice rustic, dank feel.

thanks :) Unfortunately I have no unwrapping or texturing skills at all, so I'd say no  I know it's a little rough around the edges at the moment, but it is heavily WIP and I want to make it a nice and polished model, the entire section on the right is probably going to be hidden behind another building. And I agree, weathered and dark looking buildings suit PR's style, hopefully someone will actually make a texture for this :-) (but it's probably not going to be for the JSDF mod)

Perhapse a practiced texturer will help you out, if he has spare time.

well you guys are forgetting that we use a pallette texturing system for PR, so there's probably no need to create new textures for this thing, existing palettes and a good dirt map/specualr and there you go, a beautiful texture.

the hard part is finding a guy that wants to texture it, because not many people know how to use the pallette system properly, i have been fidling around with it quite a bit and i still don't understand all of it.

How come you guys haven't got your own subforum? If you have those 2 fundamental things done then you've got a fair bit done obviously.

I think there are a lot of WiPs but very little of it is actually ready to be used in PR. I guess this faction won't get a subforum until this team has way more stuff ready to be implemented in PR.

But it's going on the good track. Looking forward to more WiPs.

Man that is a detailed work right there

It might be, I guess I'll optimise it after I'm finished it, apparently you can use up to 2,000 poly's for a jeep interior but I think I'll try to keep it below 1500 :) As you can probably tell I still need to optimise the basic frame a lot too, so when I do that I'll shed 200+ poly's
