I prefer either. The servers usually do a decent job of team placement.... sometimes the teams tend to get lopsided, but oh well.

totally depends what map it is. but I usually prefer blufor, but there is a few maps I prefer insurgents

I don't, It's just that INS squad leaders (if they even lead, because sometimes they just create a group for the sake of it) are more relax than in BLUFOR.

It's just not as strategic as BLUFOR and seen that way, it is realistic to me that different "factions" donc use the same way of fighting, kinda.

I don't call that "unorganized" and I've won several times in INS, and you know you can't win with a team full of randoms playing like in vBF2, you'd even get kicked if you do.

Insurgents (Taliban, Iraqis) of course, less limitations (such as following orders) and you may play around more.

Always and only play as insurgents why?
I love the underdog and sympathize with him regardless, I love insurgency warfare, IED ambushes, urban guerilla warfare, RPG ambushes and so on.
It's far funnier to sneak around the tree line, bushes and hills taking shots at a superior foe and prove that tactics and guts equals firepower and technology.

Being a civilian is a rush because I know if they shoot me when i'm charged they get punished big time. Also, it sucks to get arrested so always have someone with a gun near by.

UK on their maps and Insurgent on all US maps.

I agree I hate playing Fallujah now as insurgents - I have never seen an insurgent win on this map playing either side since 1.0. Too unbalanced the insurgents just get steam rolled...

I still think Ramiel is the most balanced insurgency map...I love playing either US or the African's such a fun map!

Voted BluFor - I used to love insurgency, but it seems to be a lot more tedious since v1.0...

Depends on the map.

I voted for Insurgents. But that was before 1.0.
Now it's a pain to play as insurgents, and i played 90% as insurgent before 1.0, now its like 20% Ins and 80% Blufor. But when i'm on the INS side i mostly rage quit.
getting arrested 2times = 6mins respawn...no thanks.
Getting sniped by a standart rifleman? no thanks.
Missing an APC withing 50m with a RPG? no thanks.
Tbh, i play a lot less since 1.0 especially because INS was my favourite mode.

Insurgents need to play differently now - They need to play better than Blufor to last long enough to win.

It's a lot more realistic now, and Insurgents need to use their brain more (and work as a team).

One solution I never see is people going collaborator to get shot so that caches don't spawn.

A one-man army wouldn't win against a modern fighting unit equipped and trained to fight him - Why should the Insurgent side expect that in PR?

If you find yourself in a fair fight you only have yourself to blame.

Worst part about insurgency is the lack of grenades, the inaccurate rpg (which for some reason has no 100m sight but the RPG HAT kit for the russians does), and the fact sappers can't have 2 "strings" of IEDs anymore.

Insurgents can't do anything that used to make them fun in earlier versions.
They are basically a conventional faction but without anything that makes a conventional faction fun.
They've been nerfed every update from.5 so far and are no longer even a faction in my eyes.May as well remove Target dummy's *cough* Iraqi insurgents from the game and put the ARF in there place on every map they are that depressing to play now.

What fun things can't you do anymore? I still have plenty of fun ambushing, harassing, bombing, etc just like I did in previous versions.

That is actually a tactic I see ALOT, and one I have emplyed myself. But despite once seeing a whole squad (yes 8 ) civvies standing in a road, get gunned down by a HUMVEE, the cache was still spawned within 5 mins after that.

All of the things you listed are now tedious,boring and unrewarding due to continuous nerfs.For me anyway.

Ambushing? what proper ambushing is there without randoms spawns?Maybe at the first 10mins of a round but with like 2 static places to spawn from its easy for the enemy to predict where you are.Spawning on unknowns is not an option as it gives it away and on some servers gets you banned.

harassing?What good is harassing when harassing gets you killed and you have as long if not longer spawn times as blufor?Civi's?shotgun in every squad that isn't retarded.

bombing?Its a shadow of what it was,It comes under ambushing and suffers the same drawbacks.

Iraqi Insurgence are now a static defensive faction with little tools to do the job and rely's to heavy on rng cache locations.There is only one bomb worth using.

I could list all of the things removed,"tweaked",nerfed and added but it would take to long.
