Setting up a server is not an easy task. Remember that it is not only the technical side, which is challenging enough, but also setting up admins, getting all admins on the same page rules and procedure wise, setting up the community infrastructure, both technically and organizationally, nailing down rulings for corner cases and ban/ban appeals, etc. Be patient, and most importantly, be a little grateful that people are going through all these steps to provide free entertainment to you.

I'm not saying it's hard, I'm saying it takes some effort and time.

Why are you even here? If we wanted to take 2000 years to set up our server its still none of your concern

Well knowing how low your standards are as seen through your server in your eyes it may not be that hard.

And let's cut the spam here, guys.

Seriously, like.. This isn't even a joke anymore. Get the fuck off this thread if you're not writing feedback, it's not that hard. I hate seeing notifications of a new post yet it's just fuel to a fire.

I'd like to write some feedback.

The admins seem a bit aggressive on this thread and i think they should tone it down.

*grabs popcorn*

EDIT: im so so sorry i just couldn't resist.

As an actual question, when do you hope to get the server up?

I opposed the opening of the server at this time. However, the majority wasn't in my favor.

That's it. Lock the thread. We'll update the OP with pertinent info on where to file appeals, reports and feedback when the server goes back online.

Free candy van is officially up and ready to go. All our community systems and personnel are in place, our rules are tested and proved... and we are ready to accept legitimate criticism through our forums.

If the moderators would please merge the previous FCV thread with this one, and make this post the OP it would be much appreciated. While Bren is still included in FCV and the community, he doesn't have time to continuously update the original FCV thread.

Are the admins going to enforce the rules as loosely as before? There are a lot of rules on the webpage that rarely get enforced. Some of them like camping mains are loosely enforced, and others like no mumble spam are pretty much ignored.

I'm not trying to troll or cause trouble with this question, I just want to know if your administration has changed since pre-PRTA days, and night before the recent relaunch of the server.

The rules weren't strictly enforced before because of our lack of admins. Now that we're more thoroughly staffed it should be less of an issue.

Local mumble mic spam is kindof difficult to enforce, since the vast majority of the time only a small portion of the server can hear someone spamming music over local (hell sometimes no one if they're just spamming with no one nearby) so we usually only enforce it if it becomes an immediate issue, or if someone reports it.

I haven't really found any competent teamwork here since the relaunch or whatever you want to call it to be honest. Seems like people can do whatever they please and I rarely see squads attempting to work together. It has literally been like 4 or 5 free kit squads, the =H= guys doing assets, and then maybe one or two competent INF squads every time I play on the server. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the administration or the player base, but I don't find it very enjoyable.
