usually they were manned by 2 guys.. one was reloading and making sure the belt wasnt twisting and the other one was shooting..

what really makes me sad about pr - is that it's still the same arcadish bf2 and devs can't really do something about it without everyone getting mad about game being "unfair".
that gif is a perfect example of why it's better not to lower current deviation even if it's sometimes absurd.

Am I the only one who didn't see anything wrong there? It's their own fault for piling into the room. As soon as the first guy went down they should've known to clear out the room with a grenade/smoke first. Maybe the bolting animation or how long it takes to raise the gun to eye level could be lengthened, but other than that it was just bad tactics imo. However, I did notice that the suppression effect didn't work, perhaps that's a bug.

How's that pure COD? This can happen in any FPS really, arcadey or super-realistic.

It's just the stupidity of the US players walking in one after the other - and thus get shot. Nobody thought of throwing a nade in? :p



Edit: the K98 bolting animation was actually shortened a tiny bit, as people were complaining at how long it was ;)

Seriously I don't see the problem here, they could have thrown a grenade from the litte window and watch the entrance, they could have thrown one down the ladder too.

Or go in a group of 2.

Agreed that the shoulder-to-zoom is too fast, but that's for all weapon.

And deviation wasn't a problem here, he didn't move enough to make it move to be innacurate as shit.

So, the problem were the U.S. guys that acted dumb, like top tier dumb.

you are right, but i said what i said becouse it's just really frustrates me when i see someone lying on a ground and moving all around without any restrictions(like how the hell is he moves with his irons on?) at all, you know like he's just a flying camera, not a human with a body. so the whole action looks just like a frag movie from CoD 2, and as you said players are also CoD-tier dumb. And still a lot of crazy things that I personally did(and many of you did too) would've have been so much more diffucult to do if not those arcadish bf2 roots.
and boy, i remembered how stupid and therefore easy to slay players can be, almost like bots.
they can be so dumb that even making a game more diffucult will not save them from being slayed, so i guess i'm wrong. :D

remember that ping affects how you move, you are moving in cover and when you are reaching the end of cover you die, and the you wonder why you die if you were in cover, and actually you were already out of cover but you were not aware of that because of ping or packets loss

actually there's a funny issue that's always existed. When youre commander, you cant access the little kit menu, because the only kit you can request is officer. So there's no way to get an alt kit off a crate, as if you right click trying to get a kit, you just initiate a kit drop. So all you would have to do to fix that is to make the default officer with a rifle, and the alt version with a sub machine gun.

Not sure if what I mentioned got changed for PR 1.0 anyways

Or make the Commander kit something else than the officer kit in PN ;)

What about switching the NCO without a Thompson to a M1 Carbine and giving the commander that? I may be wrong but it seems the M1 Carbine was used more by officers than the Garand during the war.

Can't give the Commander something else, both SL and Officer use the same kit. Well it's possible, but then it has to be changed for all of PR.

I agree with AD is unnecessary work. The main role it is to command the Comander and not fight.

What I have seen in game is Commander building FOB all over the map, giving spawn as rifleman and on the way to accept the comander only to have access to special kit to set the FOB.

Have some theories to test on some of the things said here, but server admins have been far too unimaginative to play minimods much. I've played about 10 rounds in the last two days and I've played like 4 maps and they've all been PR AAS.

just a question to normandy developers.

why do germans get panzer 3/4 with short barrel gun and a Stug 3 with an assault gun on brecourt? shouldnt they atleast get panzer 4 with a 7.5 cm KwK 40? even if you manage to get 2 shots with stug 3 or panzer 3/4 on a sherman he can turn around and shoot twice and you are dead.

I do hope there will be some changes in 1.0 :-)

I guess it's because we don't have it yet. I've been far from the repo lately as my internet is sucking so hard these days, so I can't really tell...

However you might find some great improvements for the next release, I can't tell some of the most important.

Materials aren't set up correctly for now, next update should fix that.

Take in mind that the next proper update for PN will be after PR 1.0...

I have seen a panzer 4 with 7.5cm kwk 40 in saint lo (I think it was).

its the map americans get a pershing.
