Not to pick on Trooper, merely to explain what the deal is.

TG PR was the first Modded PR server, despite its strict ruleset, to take the number 1 BF server in the world. We sat at number 2 most popular server in the world forever due to our reserved slot system, a necessity of the SM system that pays for our server costs (simplified explanation).

So eventually we became the number 1 BF server in the world, running a fairly niche mod.

Yeah, it was a pretty big deal.

PR was a new mod so we also made sure that the 'Leaders' we had in our community understood the need to teach new players how to play the game etc. As time went on our In House Squads (Kinda like Clans within the community) adopted Leadership/Training programs etc.

All the while as a community we focused on mature conduct, respect, realism and immersion.

TG's Admin infrastructure is run like a Limited Company, there is oversight and review and whilst mistakes may be made, there is recourse etc ie we do our best.

At points, the average gameplay on the TG server on a Friday evening exceeded 'competition play' I experienced elsewhere. Hence the reason that TG never lost a scrim I participated in in 5 years.

This is why the return of TG is a big deal.

Good sir, I see you on these fora all the time saying how a server should be.

Why haven't you made your own? If you have the right ingredients I think everyone here would not only love to see it, but support your endeavor.

As for this thread I think we will be seeing great things come from server administrators at the 1.0 launch. If anyone is thinking about running a server for 1.0, read Wickens post, and prepare your server, your clans, and yourselves to bring the A-Game of PR.

Apparently not enough time spent on these 'fora' as I have already commented on that. There is a feature called 'search'. There is a tip for ya! But nice shift from the topic. And I really don't blame you for having to show up and make like a good sport and all.

TG had the best gaming admins I've ever encountered to date.
I can not think of a single occasion where a TG admin acted selfishly or corruptly towards a player in all my years there.

We praise the return of TG but the player base that made it great has been absolutely decimated recently, bringing it back prior to the release of PR 1.0 in my opinion is a huge mistake, it just wont be the same without the people that used to play there on a regular basis.

The reaction I'm getting from friends is very positive. TG will make a nice splash.

Assuming we will eventually get to 100 players I don't imagine that it will be a problem getting into the TG server. And if it does more the reason to be a SM and support their efforts.

We only need a few to come back and squad lead on the server, strict admin + strict SL`s will be good. Players who missed out on the hardcore teamwork of the past will be able to see the benefits of communication and teamwork,

Basically it could improve the player base in teamwork ready for when 1.0 comes out.

Haha! What about this: "you where kicked to make room for a supporting member" made me stop playing there. There where so many sm's at one point you couldnt even finish one round. Ofcourse back then PRTA was online and good.

Now I guess Im going to be an sm as well when tg proves itself, as prta disapeared in the mist. . Still cant get over the fact that people think that out of nothing tg will be good when someone said most servers are even mimicing the rules of tg. The same bad players will flock to tg. Or the good ones will finally start to communicate just because they are playing on tg?

Yes Dont get me wrong, I'm glad TG is coming back. If theres one server that has a chance at becoming the community's teamwork its TG ^_^

All we can say is that we're going to do our best to have TG live up to it's reputation, but we need people to buy into what we're doing. If they don't, then they will find themselves on the outside looking in.

We're excited and we're looking forward to having a great time. We hope everyone will work with us to achieve something great again. We think it is possible and worth doing, and we're betting that the community wants the same thing.

Anyway I am glad that TG is back.
