Indeed it's simple yet it full fills it's purpose by installing updates and launch Project Reality!

It's pretty, it works, but it's painfully slow to download anything through it.

I really like the launcher because it allows me to change settings and update the game seamlessly. I have a few suggestions though.
Instead of having to download an ISO and having to deal with mounting it, I would recommend you create a browser addon.
This browser addon will initiate the first download and can then be used as a "Play Now" button to launch the game directly from the site and/or update it.
Battlefield Play4Free and Battlefield Heroes install their games like that.
I think this will make it less stressful on the end-user when installing the game. Thanks!
What do you think?

Add mumble to the launcher. ALt tab out and back in crashes my mumble and screws with my mouse sensitivity.

The updater makes PR feel like a modern game instead of a old dinosaur. Well done.

With my internet connection I can easily reach up to downloading speeds of 8 mb/s on Steam, but the PR launcher only updates at 70-80 kb/s. A friend of mine says his' downloads at 600 kb/s easily. What's up with that?

Did anyone else have problems creating a new account through the PR launcher?
I tried to create one just to see if it works. It creates the account, I can start PR with it, everything seems to be fine in the menu.
But when I join the game, I can't move my mouse any more. It's stuck in the centre of the spawn screen.
I tried to join different servers, tried to change controls in-game, tried to alt-tab but none of those things seemed to work.
When I then start PR with my normal account (created using bf2's 'manage profiles' when you start the game) and join a game, everything is working fine. I can move my mouse and play. But when I go back to the account I created with the PR launcher the same problem occurs and my mouse is stuck as soon as I'm done loading and join..
I looked at the profile files stored in "C:\Users\Dennis\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles", and there is nothing in there for the new account I created with the PR launcher so that might be the problem??
Anyway, I'm running Windows 7 64bits, gave the launcher all admin rights.
Hope this can help you guys.

@DenvH: FYI, the profiles are now stored in "My documents / ProjectReality".

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's great to see so many people like it after I've spent over a year on it

. Still got some work to do for the final release, try and fix some of the issues people are having, change a few things, and add in some new stuff (like PR Mumble and the View Distance Scale in the options menu that I put in the other day), but the open beta has been invaluable in tracking down all the issues so far

. Good stuff.

Reset controls to default ingame - that fixes it for me.

Can't really say anything bad about this, it's super. However i did find that it took some time with a black screen(hearing the menu music) after the intro to actually see something.

^^The long startup problem is probably already known but I just wanted to restate it. ^^
The launcher is nice but I would like to as for an auto deploy feature on the launcher. It was mentioned earlier in this thread and I think it would be a very good idea.

Start the launcher again, it will keep updating. Notice that the BETA has ended and you won't find servers to play on anymore.
