It's been discussed many times before and the conclusion has always been that the CPU is just as important, id not more when it comes to PR.

The BF2 engine can only utilize two cores. (Real, not hyperthreaded cores)

SO at some point, the number of instructions per second becomes important, that can mean a smaller CPU die with more transistors AND?OR a faster clock speed for the cores.

If anyone is trying to record gameplay, I highly recommend Nvidia's Shadowplay if you have a capable GPU. Very very low performance hit and the files look great.

But it doesn't pick up Mumble or Teamspeak, which is kind of mandatory. Dxtory with the Lagarith lossless codec works flawlessly, with barely any FPS drop. The only downside is the file size.

Picks up Teamspeak for me just fine. Mumble as well I saw on a friend's channel. But yeah, I hope shadowplay implements more voice recording features like push to talk and single out voice channels (game/mic/TS). And the ability to take screens and perhaps show FPS.
