Given our limited resources we simply retextured the MEC forces. You can't really make new soldier models for vBF2. Kits we could have made ourselves but we decided to mix together existing PR kit geometries as they all were already pretty much ingame.

To some degree yes. We have placed the AKM on multiple factions so you'll see some replacements of AK47/AK74 for sure. But the AK47 will remain active in most factions that have them right now in PR. Just in lesser numbers.

Sort of. Not for a few months now. Not really worth the effort without some more maps to put them on
