Good Evening,
I thought I would post my all time negative enemy team score which was a whopping -4860 as a result of 2 civi squads defending the A6 cache in one round of Fallujah.

Awesome thread Swamp. I was on a civi squad with you the other day on Fallujah, it was good times. We discussed some of these issues, and I learned a lot about the civi role that I had not been caught up on since the changes. Since the changes I lost interest, but I'm willing to do it if I can find a dedicated squad. Anyways, great suggestions. The one that I want to fully endorse and really try to promote here with the glorious devs who we all love very very much ... is the intel point counter. I can remember people always talking about intel points and I was like .... what are these guys talking about. If there was a counter somewhere somehow that let the team keep track it would be awesome and a game changer. Also we should be able to capture blufor when they wander away. They should lose intel points for that too. Having rocks was always fun and gave you a chance of getting a blufor away from arresting you because you could wound them and blur their vision with the rocks and make a get away. Now you are screwed unless you pick up a kit. One last ... more funny idea that would rock ... I read a comment about players being in jail as punishment. Please oh please devs ... make a jail cell in main bases on INS for both sides that players have to spawn in for lots of civi kills OR lots of getting arrested by blufor. It would be funny, just like a regular 2 min wait in there instead of while being dead. Smoke some green stuff and think about that idea, you might move to implement it then. Swamp ... awesome guide you made, thanks for that effort, and devs thanks for all you do too. Good day -

Good Evening,
The British specialist does not have a shotgun in his backpack sticking up like all of the other blufor factions. You have to look for the hook on his back.

Good evening,
Oh my god.... Fallujah was a blast this time. We did the bait and switch. All of us spawned medics, half the squad dropped kits and went civi. The medics would go first and get killed. The CIVIes would come up and of course the enemy being conditioned to shoot martyred them. We kept them guessing all round.

Good Evening,
Could I get a dev to comment on this please.
Regarding ROE, was it the intent of the developers to instill some kind of ROE into at least some of the factions? Also, was it the intent of the developers to allow for ROE to be used as a tactic regardless of map type?
I was on a server the other night and one admin was complaining about me leading a CIVI squad on all maps where it was possible and how big of a "exploiter" I was. He further stated that it was a bug and that it was not to be abused like that.
The last time I checked in the history books and in the current news, civilians have always been a casualty of war. I thought the intent of this game was to bring back some reality.
Now, my intent when playing CIVI is to encourage squad teamwork. When I run a CIVI squad, I'm hardcore about it. I specify the tactics and objectives. At times, it has been hard to go up against a well organized supported enemy squad. It appears that this CIVI tactic has hampered a lot of "shoot anything that moves" and "lonewolf squad/shooter" players causing them to holler.
Oh well, would like to hear from the devs on this one.

For the millionth time - COLLABORATOR. Not CIVILIAN.
For anyone reading and/or commenting, it is important for people to understand the difference.

How many people do exploit though? Mortars can obliterate everything in a 1400m radius and dominate a game, how often are they used effectively?
Should changes be based on rare occurrences? If you realize the enemy uses a large amount of civies have your breachers at the ready for a turkey shoot.

Swamp,
Sounds like the admin had a stick up his butt that night. I don't consider it an exploit at all (granted I'm no admin, just a long time player). The way I see it is that it's an intentional function in the game and should be used as such. If the entire team decides to go Civi, then so be it.

Good Evening,
Collaborator and Civilian are two separate kits. The Collaborator is the medic and Civilian is just an unarmed person. Collaborator now has a gun so they are not a Civilian. I don't understand your point exactly. In the loosest of definitions, I can understand your frustration but in the strictest of definitions, there is a separation so I don't understand the 1,000,001 time you say it.

Sup Swamp Fox, hilarious playing with you the other night - would quite like to hop into one of your squads on an INS map though! Was playing last night, and OPFOR was incredibly adept at scouting via civies, and then swarming our location.
Personally, the civilian role adds a heap more in terms of depth tactically for the OPFOR on INS.

Good Evening,
If anyone gets a chance, let me know if you lose tickets when playing CIVI on an AAS map? I am leaning towards the yes but want to know absolutely for certain. Will have to find a server with a map and one other player to verify that it isn't someone else is dying. If you have tested this in this type of environment, let me know.
I will also verify what I was told the other day about IDF Combat engineers having zipties. This would mean that the French have them as well.

I forgot that they gave the Collaborator a gun.. Currently waiting for the next release to see how it pans out.
Historically people called the (old) collaborator kit 'civilian' and based all of their arguments on role playing as 'civilians'. I hope you can understand my frustration.
If civilian is now a 'kit' then fair enough, I won't mention it again!

Good Evening,
Ok, as stated in the guide, if a friendly gun is wounded beside you (within 10 meters) and hasn't given up, you cannot martyr. Evidently there is a timer to this particular nuance. BJC martyred 3m away from a friendly gun that had been wounded for around 3 minutes or so. Unconfirmed or tested outside of this. If you encounter this, let me know.

Good Evening,
I stand corrected, the IDF combat engineer does have zipties (restraints) but the French combat engineer does not as confirmed by =HOG= Geo.

Good Evening,
Also, based on casual observance, it does appear that CIVIES may actually cost tickets in an AAS map when they martyr. While some folks may be upset about this, I play to have fun. A thought came to me the other day, PR is about playing the objectives in order on AAS, for example, and no one gives grief to those that are constantly off of objective but yet when CIVIES martyr on an AAS map, my god, hellfire and damnation to them............ fill in the blank.....
There still is a tactical advantage to playing CIVI and martyring on an AAS map if the rest of the team takes advantage of it but wait, they aren't playing to the objectives. hehehehehehe..... as the world turns.
That's my two cents.

Good Morning,
Updated the guide just a bit. Just verified that the IDF sniper does have zipties. I do not know if the marksman does or not. This begs the question of whether the French sniper does or not.
