Just got all the parts today apperently.
My shipping company UPS claimed they put it on the front porch behind our bench. I checked, did not see it. Looked on my home security cameras.....
Oh wonderful. 5 minutes after they delivered it some idiot decided to steal it. (And literally 5 minutes after be stole it I arrived home.). Just F'N great.
Gonna have to call my insurance company to reimburse me for the losses!

Haha....
My insurance company covered it as it was a loss of property.
So, lucky me I decided to purchase BETTER parts this Friday (black friday) for cheaper. I'm glad, but not glad it was stolen. (Got a i5 4690k and I'm going to OC it... hopefully it's somewhat easy to.)
Now... to explain to the girlfriend why I didn't buy her a ipad pro....

Just get her a $200 iPad Mini 2 and tell her that her small hands make everything look bigger.
What GPU did you go with? I've been seeing a lot of <$300 prices for GTX 970s.

No it won't just be cool calm and slow and earth yourself.
I hate Apple, I know their screens are the best but they're so so expensive for the same internals otherwise.

My girlfriend said it's ok as long as she can play my games too LOL.
Could a intel i5 4690k and gtx 980 run squad on high? 60fps???
gonna over clock it. But not a lot of OC.
Edit.... Windows is gonna be a huge price too Ugghh lol. Anywhere can I get windows 7 home premium 64bit at like under 80?

Amazon has it right now for under $80.
They also have Win 10 for $100. But I'm pretty sure you can update Win 7 to 10 for free.

I'll stick with windows 7 for now. Used windows 10 at my work already and I don't care for it much.

You will if you plan to play any DX12 games.
And I'm pretty sure there is some performance improvement in games from Win 7 to Win 10.

There's hardly any difference in performance. From what I've read it's mostly the same, in some cases W10 has a couple of fps more (think 5 or less), in other cases W7 is faster. The difference may come later though, but right now not so much. W10 should be an improvement over W8 though.
Isn't it that if you have a legit version of W7 you can upgrade to W10 for free until July 2016 or so?

I had a new build which of course needed an OS, so I look at my supplier only OEM w10 hardware locked no upgrades blah blah blah.
So I pay the same price from Windows store for a 'retail' version, change parts as many times as you want but only I PC at a time.
My win7 laptop is always hassleing me to upgrade can't be arsed everything works OK.

I'll upgrade to Windows 10 after.
And can I use Windows 7 home premium 64bit OEM system builder or no?

OEM means you are hardware locked if you want to upgrade you will have to pay again, for a like for like replacement you may have to phone ms for activation. System builder OEM will be locked to your mobo.
Strictly speaking no one should be selling OEM as it's for computer companies to install on built systems.
That's why I bought retail from MS store as I will be moving across the world in a year so might just sell mobo cpu here and get a new one in Europe.

So, will it break my system if I purchase it?
Probably not gonna buy OEM. But thanks for the information it helps a ton as I am a newbie that has never built my own custom pc before lol.

no it'll work 100% But if you want to
upgrade you'll have to pay again.
Although they are wrong in that MS do let you do a like for like in the event of mobo failure.
My retail (unlocked but one 1 PC at a time)
W10 from MS storewas the same price as OEM from a retailer.
IMHO Just go straight to win10 its fine.
