Re: [1.5] Game is laggy/low fps
Hello together, i´ve the same problem (low fps) since V1.5.
System: i5 4570, GTX 760 2GB, 8GB Ram, playing from SSD, Win 8.1 -
depends on the map but sometimes it drops down to 20-30 fps. Insurgency on Fallujah West is sometimes a pain in the a....
i´ve been monitoring my System during gameplay with MSI Afterburner,
max GPU load was about 35-40% without Boost on High and 8x AA.
CPU load was about 40-50 maybe 60 % at 3,6 Ghz. Temps for both were absolutly fine -
I have no clue what to do about it... DX9 and GPU driver are fine, disable or enable "no loads" or AA doesnt help that much.
any suggestions?

Alon tied his soul to the game, he was poisoned by his dog and at the same time game performance worsens.

Same here, getting drops in FPS regardless of the update. Tried changing EVERY settings there is, with no success. It seems that when you look at a certain direction where there are more people or bots, the FPS drops significantly.

Edit: I also have a GTX 1050Ti and have already switched PR to run on it through nVidia CP.

Try to turn off Vsync maybe? Or switch to Adaptiv Snyc on Nvidia Settings (right mouse button on desktop - Nvidia Settings - 3D Settings - Vsync -> Adaptive)Disgorge wrote:Same here, getting drops in FPS regardless of the update. Also playing on a Laptop is always a thing... its all about how well your laptop is cooling your cpu&gpu before it throttles. So i´d suggest you, get MSI Afterburner and monitor your CPU and GPU to see where the Problem is. I´m not sure how well your CPU is performing with its cooling, maybe thats the bottleneck

If you are running Windows 10 creators update try going to "Settings > Gaming" and turn off "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar". Apparently it causes massive performance issues in Fullscreen Directx9 games.

you need to change that to your GPU card if you have, game read that you play on integrated
GPU with 1024MB ram.
P.S

Tried this, normally i only play with AA off.[R-CON]Fastjack wrote:I read once a post here when you turn on AA x6 ??? the fps go higher (strangewise).
Maybe you should try this out DogActual.
Set it to 8x and only got an increase of 1 frame when testing. Went from 30 FPS to 31 on a specific map, not worth it for the shitty AA blurry edges.

It doesn't matter if I turn Vsync off, it's still dropping frames like crazy, plus there's screen tearing which is a huge factor in this game.cheese wrote:Try to turn off Vsync maybe? I've already monitored my system while playing on every setting (Low, Medium, High, AA off, AA 8x) with Intel's XTU and it doesn't bottleneck, it's not even using 15% of it. I've tried forcing Vsync through the nVidia CP, seems like it doesn't work... also, there's no option for "Adaptive" sync in nVidia CP I also tried playing with the Vsync options in nVidia Inspector, same result. Tried installing Bitsum Process Lasso and the ParkControl, set everything to High Performance, Gaming Mode, Single Core Performance, it seems like nothing makes even the slightest impact on the frames.
Everything is turned off in the "Gaming" section on Windows 10 and yes I'm running the Creators Update.PBAsydney wrote:If you are running Windows 10 creators update try going to "Settings > Gaming" and turn off "Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar". It's already set to use the High Performance GPU in the nVidia control panel and I've installed GPU-Z just to confirm that it's using the dedicated GPU and not the integrated one. I also tried with Windows' Resource Monitor and it seems like it's using the dedicated GPU. Also, I think it's not the update since I've been having issues before the update as well.lakinen wrote:look link:

Also, I've tried changing compatibility mode, reinstalling the DirectX and nVidia drivers (also tried installing older nVidia drivers from the ASUS official website), setting Highest CPU priority, playing with the affinity settings, almost everything there is on these forums in regards to dropping FPS.
I would really appreciate it if someone could come up with a solution for this.
Thank you all for the quick responses, much appreciated.

could you make a screenshot with msi afterburner ingame while monitoring gpu load, gpu temp, fps, every single cpu core with load, temp and its clock?Disgorge wrote:It doesn't matter if I turn Vsync off, it's still dropping frames like crazy, plus there's screen tearing which is a huge factor in this game.

For your convenience, instead of pictures I took 2 videos using MSI Afterburner, the quality isn't very good especially in the first one. Let me know if you need a higher quality videos and I'll reupload.

Re: [1.5] Game is laggy/low fps
Alright i've to tell you that this looks fine for me. I've got an i5 4570 with the same clock as your mobile CPU. Its switching between 3400-3600 Mhz on the cores and i get the same 40+ fps on Dovre Winter like you. This Game ist just very CPU heavy because of the 100 players a server and your GPU is just bored with around 15% usage. For constant 60+ fps you just need more CPU power or the game (or just some maps?) need more optimization.Disgorge wrote:Thanks for the quick response and apologies for the delay.

There should be some maps working fine with 60 fps on your laptop just like on my pc.

So far I've never seen constant 60 fps on any map. Isn't there something we could do other than OC? I thought the recommended settings were 3.2GHz and a decent single core performance and we have both of those.cheese wrote:Alright i've to tell you that this looks fine for me. Well you are not playing on battery/energy saving mode but on performance mode on windows aren't you? Thats one possible thing i could think of as problem on laptops. Probably your cpu is trying to throttle all time to save energy. Do you have access to your bios? Maybe you can force your cpu to keep the clock as high as possible there.Disgorge wrote:So far I've never seen constant 60 fps on any map. Isn't there something we could do other than OC? It's definitely not on Power Saving or Balanced. Always before I play PR I change it to High Performance. I can try again with Bitsum ProcessLasso to keep the higher clock speed and let you know how it goes. Also, I don't think there's CPU frequency/clock control in this particular BIOS, but I'll check anyway.cheese wrote:Well you are not playing on battery/energy saving mode but on performance mode on windows aren't you? Re: [1.5] Game is laggy/low fps
On Intel HD 6000, previous versions worked very well on Medium, 1920x1200, 100% viewiing distance.
Now, even on much lower resolution, 50% viewing distance and all settings set to lowest possible, it's down to 15 FPS on most levels (which can't be played at all). The game stopped being playable on MBP 2015 Retina completely.
All possible Windows settings i.e. power saving, video card performance mode, Game Bar setting, etc double-checked.
Doesn't really depend on the Audio setting hardware vs software in Options as well.
It was pretty fine even in 1.5.2.0 (!).

Re: [1.5] Game is laggy/low fps
It's changed the graphics in the game, of course the better for what is great commendation. So it's time to buy new hardware for players who have weak machines. Now the game is very close to the graphics from BF3. So if you are buying new hardware, keep in mind the specification for BF3.mbarashkov wrote:On Intel HD 6000, previous versions worked very well on Medium, 1920x1200, 100% viewiing distance.

I'm thinking it might be the deploy sounds being .ogg.
Has it happened when players switched weapons or just looking into any direction?
