AFAIK, this indicator isn't truly accurate to the overall amount of deviation you have. It's only an estimation from what I recall. Plus, you can be at full deviation from walking and the cone is definitely smaller than if you had just jumped or gone prone.

Either way, from testing I cannot replicate the situations people have described where they move a small amount of space to peek something like a corner and cannot hit what they aim at. Even with things like rockets, firing at a LAV from the front ~100m away after moving a few meters to peek around a corner hits it pretty consistently. Moving only 2-3m with the M16A4 and immediately engaging at a target at 50m places rounds at about a torso size target. Same thing with deployed MGs.

Is there a situation where people are having deviation issues that are edge cases or something? I'm having trouble figuring out what people are having issues with deviation wise. I can shoot faster on semi on target than deviation will decay, but I think this is acceptable. A brief pause is enough to have decay end.

Also note: all testing is done with aiming. Hip-fire is really bad. Do not use it under most circumstances.
