Yeah my point exactly, look at what grand theft auto stirred up with being claimed responisble for various crimes and then there was the coffee mod.
Bf2 has gotten attention from government before like when congress thought a video of bf2 was a terrorist recruiter video; heres the article: http://gamepolitics.livejournal.com/285129.html
It doesn't matter if its just a game, its dealing with and portraying current serious issues.

Trust me, you don't want it to go to the media lol... Modding has been in increasing trouble lately, with the hot coffee thing for GTA, and more recently a nudity mod for Oblivion. What is happening is that idiot politicians are pushing new laws and things, and now the ESRB games rating board will Re-Rate a game just because of the content of a mod.

Someone made a mod for Oblivion featuring nudity, and the ESRB upped the rating of the game! This in turn hurts sales. So what it's got game developers thinking is, that they should close their games and make modding not possible. That's obviously bad.

And what is so ridiculous about it is that if you mod a game and put nudity or *whatever* in it, that is the SAME thing as buying a vhs tape and then "modding" it by recording nudity onto it. So, by that logic, blank tapes should be rated X.

Now I don't know what the current status on this issue is, but I think it's fair to say that modders need to be responsible with what they put into a mod, and not get the game developers into hot water - to a degree. And I don't think PR has done ANYTHING wrong, or even near to the kind of thing I'm saying modders shouldn't do (like, porn, snuff, way-over-the-top violence, etc). And I say this just as a self preservations that mod communities should probably do - even though I think it's bullshit that the ESRB would re-rate games based on mod content! It's totally retarded and I hope that doesn't become the standard.

There is a trend. The media seems to be more concerned about sex and nudity and less about violence and killing and all that (ironic, i know - i guess it's their way of stopping overpopulation)

So as long as we keep it pr0n free - which i think will be quite easy (unless we get a city map set in a red light district, RHINO) ;) Things should be fine.

Unless you're a politician, I think most of the population realizes the media is nothing but a joke. One scare story after another.

you'll be surprised how effective those scare stories are when it comes to influencing the masses....

Yeah. I think the 2004 elections proved that.

Anyway, anyone who's played with me (or against me) knows I LOVE praising Allah anytime I blow something up. I think it's hilarious, personally. Particularly the guys who are like, REALLY into it, who SCREAM "ALLAHU ACKBA" into the microphone as they're detonating their bombcar.

Now I'm starting to say it all the time, even outside the game.

Oh no! I'm being brainwashed by Islamic fundamentalism! At this point, if there was an attached Commissar in my Command Squad, he'd SO have me shot right now.

Yea, you have to make sure the other guy knows who rammed some C4 into the tailpipe of their tank, and of course praise allah so that he may deliver many successful suicide missions.
