the grenade has to spin a minimum number of times to arm after which it will explode on impact. If the grenade does not travel far anough for it to spin a sufficient number of times to arm, then the grenade is simply a heavy projectile and will not detonate.Jonny wrote:How does the minimum range work? Strictly measuring time and/or distance is simply not true.
Edit: Although obviously it is quite straightforward to measure the distance and time a 40mm grenade travels/takes to reach that rpm - hence the estimate of 100ft for arming
