What happens when you don't study the PR manual? You're going to fail at PR
lol, true.
I hate the pilots that come on this mod thinking there gods ("IM a captain from vbf2 blah blah"). then the first thing they do when they get in the chopper is flip it.

PR is easy, if you have a military background, are familiar with small unit tactics and have some experience in FPS.
But if you lack a military background, no absolutely nothing about tactics or strategy and have only played Doom/Quake/Counterstrike then you will have a tough time for a while until you learn.
If you are a self centered, self entitled cry baby you will never learn and will hate the game no matter how much you love the vehicles.

I love it on Muttrah when a bunch of noobs bail off the minibirds thinking they be leet for doing some Mission Impossible skydiving and just fall to their death while screaming on VoIP "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY PARACHUTE??"

"PR is kinda elitists game"

The only thing "elitist" about PR is people who come on this forum thinking they are so damn superior to every other tactical game and community.
GET REAL! Sure PR has awsome tactics and incredible team oriented pub play, but it's nothing close to what I would define as "elitist".
I'm so sick of people here acting like "King Snot Face" on top of a hill pointing down at everybody shouting out Noob!
God I detest that word.....
Grow up and start trying to do something constructive like educating new beginners in MP instead of coming here and ***** about new players lacking knowledge of PR dynamics.
Sure I get frustrated by people who are taking on tasks which they are not competent to fufill, but I try to either come up with a constructive suggestion on gameplay changes in the forums which will filter out people that are not suited for PR, or try and educate them in MP giving a bigger player base of competent and team oriented players.
What I try my best NOT to do is to come on the forums as ***** about "noob" this and that "noob", that only makes you look like an immature wannabe "elitist" *******.....and it certainly doesn't get rid of them...
This post is not directed against any particular person, but rather an common themed ******* attitude which is getting very old.

I think the funniest thing (frustrating too) was when somehow on Hills of Hamgyong, we lost all of our spawn points (Don't know if some idiot destroyed them, or if the British snuck behind us). But anyhow, we were pushed back to the bunker, and after waiting for a new static spawn to show up for a good 5 minutes or so one finally came back up.
So here we have about 30 something players all crammed in this underground bunker. Now this one guy spawns with the Type 56 grenaider kit. He thinks he's clever, and shoots the darn grenade at the wall, thinking it will bounce off it and hit the British. His plan fails miserably, not only tking me and a crapload of friendlies, but destroying our damn spawn point in the process!
Everyone was shouting in caps, I even got kicked for typing the F word. It was frustrating then, but I look at it now and laugh. Not really a quote, but I find it funny and decided to share it.
LOL

Oh yea, noob Insurgent.....
"WTF, people keep spawning in my suicide car! GTFO!"
"WTF, Someone shot me for putting C4 on a car.
Good ones.
I do not have a problem with the ignorance, although it would be nice for them to read first then paly; I have a problem with the 20+deaths we are seeing after a game. Those numbers are way too high. Clearly people are playing the game at the same tempo and speed as they did vBF2.
This is the very reason I have lobbied time and again to get tougher respawn timers after 10 deaths. After 20 the person is waiting for a while.
Of course, they could just log off and come back on, but that would affect their score. So you really can't win.

The most frustrating isn't lack of knowlege how to play it, but ignorance. People want's everything at 1 minute of playing. They will spam you with questions istead of searching answers on mod site. Sure I can bare silly questions, but sometimes I want to play too

Latly I was commander on Op ghost train, and when I was giving intel and orders to squads, one sq leader starts to pop with questions on VoIP about how he can go to chopper, how to fly it etc. When I told him to read manual (he was very disturbing) he told me, there is no manual... I send him to viki. Dunno if he goes to read or not.
If you starting to play a MOD, then you have to expect that some things are changed to your oryginal game. If it wasn't it wouldn't be a mod

So be patient my young padawans, and just play with your team, you will know all stuff in this mode quicker then you think

Desertfox wrote:The funniest thing I have seen in awhile is
I got unfairly singled out and kicked for playing on USMC after a map change. About half the team that was USMC went back to USMC instead of going INS. Yet, this admin decided to single me out and kicked me. Guess the simple fact that the autobalance will eventually kick in doesn't mean shit.
The admin's name was Girabaldi (or something to that effect) One day, sir, I hope you will grow a brain and become a decent admin."
He was kicked from devfile for switching over to the USMC lmao. My response was something along the lines of "You broke the rules and got punished, DEAL WITH IT"
If you are the desertfox im thinking of, you unfairly single out people who teamswitch and kick them, particularly the ones who are doing better than you.

Garabaldi/wasteland/desertfox keep that server from turning into noob central.
If a mistake was made when you were kicked, politely point it out and if it truly was a mistake an apology will be issued. I have seen it happen more than once.
If you try to go USMC all the time you are weak and pathetic and probably an incompetant vehicle whore and I hope you are unhappy and leave and never come back.

wow, when you look at any given time PR might have 10 servers running with poeple inthem and regular BF2 has over 600... PR is getting very popular... I am glad I am no longer a DEV here. PR was great 3.6 release and after that it started to go down hill. Ya I play every once and a while becuase I get tired of unloading a full magazine into a guy and he doesn't die but the guys who play regular BF2 are much nicer and you don't have to worry about the devs.
anyway you guys have fun you here...

What was all that drivel about ?
How would you know if vBF2 people are nicer and who cares anyway ?

since i started this thread i would just like to say this thread was more about just the funny stuff noobs say in game, and not trying to make fun of them or not help them.

Battlefield 2 players are nicer than PR players? That's classic.

Test the theory.
Go to Devfile and ask some basic questions and see how long it takes to get an answer and then go to a public vBF2 server and try the same thing.
I'd bet dollars to donuts you get more and better info, faster, on Devfile than on a vBF2 server.
