In other words, you were banned for suspected cheating and without reasonable evidence?

Basically yes. The whole idea behind it was the TV missiles of the helos... and they suspected a 'fog hack' I presume. They don't understand that the TV Missile is commonly fired into the fog (in the direction of possible enemies) even just for reconnaissance, and once a target is found, it may take several (even numerous) attempts until the gunner hits his target. However, if they are smart, squad leaders can put markers on the target, and hit them very accurately from a max distance of 1000 meters away, which is always into the fog. The only idea they have is that the TV missiles came out of the fog killing people, and that is the cheating. If I was cheating, you'd probably only see ONE TV missile come towards you and kill you dead on. However, many trial & error TV missiles were fired (because I was teaching a gunner also) until they hit a target. But still, there is no evidence of me cheating, and after I posted on their forum, they told me I would have to wait 3 days until they vote on a decision to unban me. They voted against me it seems, and now it is still unclear as to what they are doing, and told me they were fair people, and I should wait 30 days??? I don't know if they are going to unban me after 30 days or not, but the way they handled the situation is odd.
Wolfe I've played many times with you and your [TF21] teammates, and I am pretty sure you could see where I am coming from when speaking in terms of the TV missile techniques. Once something is spotted on a map, it is quite easy to point in the general direction... that is what spotting is for anyways.
I only have about 4 good servers (with active players) to choose from that ping well in the US --- one of those is TTP, which I can no longer play on

. Like I said earlier, I love the server a lot, more than any other one I play on actually... and I frequently contacted admins and/or visited their forum to report bad players so the admins could take care of them and keep the server clean. Look how that payed off for me eh?

Just last night I was shooting the HAT into the fog and killing tanks. How? The edge of your screen can see further than looking directly ahead (this is to simulate real life). So, ya spot a distant tank using the screen edge, mark it for reference, then look ahead, aim and fire. From a spectator's point of view, it would look like a fog hack. There are many things in these games that can be stretched to the limit that look odd from a spectator. Just requires knowledge of the game mechanics. In any event, that's too bad. Hope TTP admins reconsider.
All in all, TTP is my first choice. The map rotation is a bit odd, but it's far better than being kicked for supporting members.
BUT...
That 10 reserved slot limit is less than desirable.

Yep, that's another technique that has been around for ages. Just another issue with Battlefield like I was saying earlier. PLUS, you can see objects like tanks and even people into the fog if you look really closely... you'll see silhouettes of them, sometimes some weird flashing white stuff below them (I guess thats the shadows messing up). Also the ground profile gets smoother the farther away you get, so sometimes you'll see a sniper floating in the air from long distances, totally revealing his position, when he is really behind the mountain if you check with your binoculars. These kinds of things people don't understand I guess.
I agree with supporting member kicking heheh, that is one reason I went to TTP as opposed to TG. And server admins seem pretty sane on TTP too.

I am not hijacking anything, this does say "Feedback Welcome" doesn't it? This is my feedback, and actually, I am coming here to warn people to be careful of anything they do on your server, because through MY experience it has not been well with the way admins handled me... that is my feedback. Don't expect every bit of feedback to be 5-stars and a cherry on top, this is open discussion.
I've already been trying to appeal the ban countless times, yet you keep saying I have such and such timelimit before I can no longer do anything. It is quite annoying to have to go through this entire process, especially when you guys keep saying you are fair & professional. And I am sure you ARE fair, however, it's been several weeks now, and nothing has been done. COMMANDER ended the thread with a PM I sent him (I thought PMs were private? (but I don't mind)), and it stated that I was not walking away from the situation, and that I am still upset I have to wait. Isn't it obvious I'd like to be unbanned????
Again, I haven't downplayed any of the experiences I have had while ON the server, I have always had a great time playing on the server, and loved to help keep it clean too. I was even ready to donate before this all happened! It is just the experience that I've had OFF the server (still correlative) and on your forum when I had to come figure out how-to be unbanned -- this has been unpleasant. The last thing I'd like to see is people having to deal with the same thing, so I saw this thread and posted!

I am a BF2 vanilla player, and I played PR for the first time the other night. All of the people at Teaxs Teamplayers were very helpful. I didn't get berated for not understanding the game, I got advice and instruction.
I would highly recommend this server to anyone regardless of experience level.

TexasTeamplayers is a great PR server.
They are patient with rookies, but have enough experienced players there making the battles very challenging.
I've also noticed that they tend to have lots of people willing to fill the commander role, something I don't often see anywhere else.
I love PR. I love TTP. Transitive property suggests then, that I love TTP-PR.

Heading to TTP PR

I have played on TTP Vanilla BF2 for a while now, and am preparing to enter the PR realm.
TTP as a whole has always been my favorite place to play, and I know that this will continue due to the professionalism they insist on, not only from the admins, but from every person on the server.
Looking forward to seeing you all on there.
