I think that's the kinda thing people are asking to be part of MG teams though.

you know what i dont understand wtf is hk21 doing at mec army at all
instead of your idea i would prefer to not give the mec hk21 at all
only a light mg pkm or rpk-74(ehich i love espcialy how it sounds and hit in the mod)

Ammunition compatibility. Parts compatibility. Magazine compatiblity. Farmiliar weapon layout. Makes perfect sense to have the HK21E as the support weapon to compliment the G3. The RPK-74 isnt used very heavily if at all in the region (I'm not aware of any ME countries adopting the 5.45x39mm round) and, while the PKM is used in the region, it isnt even ammuntion compatible with the G3, which would make it a nightmare for logistics to have it as the squad level support weapon.

If their logistics are able to supply T-90 , BTR-90 coaxials with 7.62x54mm ammo , please tell me whats the problem with supplying squad GPMG's ?

Thats for all the tanks AND APCs, not for a LMG.

hell, tanks and apc ARE using mg amunition , i dont see the problem of logistic there

the G3 is one of the best rifles in PR. It has my personal favorate ironsights (though I know alot of the PR players think they have far too much iron and not enough sight), a bueat of a scope and superieme knock-down power. However, it has less ammo than the other assault rifles, more recoil and in general poorer mid range performance. But at exteneded ranges and at point blank it beats the M16A2 down. In the face. The L85A2 is more of a match and for certian maps when playing MEC I'd discard my G3 for a L85 with SUSAT due to its greater flexibility.

Also, its used in the region*, by the Saudis, Iran, Pakistan, The Lebanaon and Kuwait. And produced in a couple of those, too.

Anyway, with a squad level MG it makes sense to keep it in the same cartrage as the rest of the squad's rifles. In the British army the weapons on tanks and APCs are 7.62x51mm, but the squad support weapon is 5.56x45mm to match that of the standard issue rifle.

While in PR all ammo comes from magic boxes that carry every imaginable round in vast quantities IRL it dosent. Now, lets say that each soldier in the squad is carrying a couple of spare belts for the squad LMG. Now, if that LMG/SAW is using the same round as the squads rifles during a lul in the fighting they can break up a couple of those belts to refill thier rifle magazines. its this kind of thing that I always thought that the rifleman's ability to dish out ammo bags was supposed to represent. However, if the squad is carrying belts (or a drums in some cases) of a different round exclusivly for use in the squad MG they cant use it to reload thier weapons, and if the MG is lost its just useless extra wieght.

*Which reminds me, the P90 is too! Now wouldnt it be a good idea to give the MEC tankers them!

Russians have no problem supplying PKM's with 7.62 when the main cartrige is 5.45 ... well , lets end this debate as it leads to nothing ..
Let MEC have an MG3 and everyone will be happy . 7.62x51 , high rate of fire , nice MG42 looking .

Yes, becuase PKMs are not the Russian squad level support weapon. That is the RPK-74. Which is 5.45. The PKM is used as a platoon/company level support weapon, much like the British GPMG or American M240.

You're wrong . RPK's are squad LMG's only on paper ... they have same problems as L86A1 ... too weak to be a support weapon . The only good thing about them are 45 rds mags , comparable with AK's In the combat action RPK's are rare , troops enjoy PKM's more .

second its stupid for pr i realy l;oved it in bf2 i killed a lot wioth ot but somewhy in pr it sucks and since when did you see middle east armies us the g3 or at least using it so much as in pr almost every goddam mec unit got a g3 there and not a single ak-47 or at least(i wish it was made) ak-74

as for the G3, theres nothing wrong with it, and if you have pictures of any middle eastern armies, i wouldnt mind seeing them, the AK47 and AK74 are cheap, they are hardy weapons, they are powerful, but they lack accuracy, hence why the G3 seems a viable option for a newly formed army that wants to be effective.

like when i say i need like 20 shots to kill someone after i kill cheaters with too much shts and see the blood coming out of them from 0 range and ppl tell me learn to aim noob

Ah, I do aplogise, I wasnt being serious about the n00b thing. Though I do understand that sarcasm + text can = fail.

I think that your problem is more to do with BF2 hit detection rather than the weapon.
