2. It's still in the idea stage.

Before a Dutchman comes in here and tears your head off, the Dutch are very heavily involved in the fighting in the south of Afghanistan. They're also one of the main suppliers of airsupport in the region.

Because they're lazy and its marginally less offensive than saying "nips" or "dinks"? Also, People call the British "Brits", so why not the Japanese "Japs"?

Generally we (the Japanese) take offense to it because it's what we were called during WWII and was used a degrading term. You don't go calling Germans "krauts" anymore, do you?

... Wait, we're not supposed to call them Krauts anymore?

I'm just paranoid about anti-Japanese sentiment. There's still alot of it around today, despite the fact that there's little to no anti-German, anti-Italian sentiment. It's always "those damn Japs". I've been called a communist for wanting to learn Japanese (and otherwise made fun of), I've been called a "traitor" at airsoft because I'm wearing JGSDF gear, and people have been so stupid to say "he's white but he wants to learn Japanese, lulz". What the bloody fvck is up with that?!

Yes.

I think having the Australian forces in would be better. The Japanese is a defense force, and you guys would have to model a lot, and I mean a lot of statics for that.
Australian forces are in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Solomons, and are an active force in the war on terror.
Plus you know every single guy who plays this game wants to see a

and fire it.

he AUG is the ugliest of all assault rifles. ever.
and i think Japan would be in the chinese theater, so not so many statics

Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force
de·fense (dĭ-fĕns') pronunciation
n.
1. The act of defending against attack, danger, or injury.
2. A means or method of defending or protecting.
Im sure Japan will Attack China and violate its Constitution.

I'm going to kill you for saying that...
Im sure Japan will Attack China and violate its Constitution.
Or:
A. The story could be along the lines of this:
China invades Taiwan, uses it as a base to attack Japan. The maps will all be simple island maps, with Ishigaki, Shimoji, Irabu, Miyako, etc., that are so close to Taiwan, that there's a mix of Japanese/Chinese culture, meaning we can use the Chinese statics.
B. This is in the future, no? I mean, when would China ever be in a war with Britain and the US anyway? There have been talks of changing Article 9, to allow for joint US-Japanese anti-terror strikes in Asia, to "protect our common interests".
Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force
And yet you didn't do the same analysis about the Australian
Defense Force.

I never did.
They're Jerries.
Anyway, we've got Ruskies, Kiwis, Aussies, Argies, SKs, NKs, SAs, Scots, Brits, yanks and any number of other shortened words for a persons country of origin. Why should the Japanese be any different?
I can call ya "nips" if it makes you feel better.

JSDF could be nice addition

I always thought the Type 90 tank is good looking and would like to see it in the game someday.
But seeing IDF forces would be even nicer.
And the people who claim that "oh it will be just another US faction" are wrong.
IDF forces can contribute a lot to the PR mod and add content that haven't been seen before.
Merkava tanks
Heavy APC units such as "Achzarit" (converted T-55's), "Namer" (heavy APC based on the Merkava chassis) and Centurion tank based vehicles like "Nagmashot/Nakpadon" and "Puma" combat engineering vehicles.
Tavor-21 assault rifles.
SPIKE missile family.
Up armored vehicles like HMWWV's, "Sufa" jeeps, "Golan" MRAP vehicle.

I think they will be sending tanks to Afghanistan soon, Leopard 2.
