Corey Darling, Microsoft flight sim is not very realistic at all for helicopter control, as for the issue with flying a helicopter upside down it is very possible, there are many videos of ah-64's doing them the issue with that is that it causes so much damage on the rotor mast, a condition that if not properly fixed could cause the mast to break off, very "ungood". The stresses on a rotary wing airframe can be exceeded very very quickly with aerobatic manuvers. Currently all army helicopters are limited to 60 degree roll and 30 degree bank manuvers, except when going evasive from enemy fire.

I loved the DC chopper controls. I was amazing at it. My friends would come by my dorm room to hit my seven chamber bong and watch me pwn in the helo they couldn't fly. That was the great thing about it. Most people sucked, but it was possible to pwn. Just took practice.
