alot of chinese and oriental music uses what you call the pentatonic scale.
google it

I know what the pentatonic scale is. However, Communist Chinese music does not use that scale, it's just synchronized to fit Chinese 1 syllable words.

Are there any community mods needing anthems?

You're only right in part. The performance copyright still applies and legally (at least in the UK) you have to pay. You could maybe get away with it on the basis that PR is free or for sure with consent from the owner of the copyright.

I think playing entire anthems is a bit too much to be honest. Changing up the music might be good but I prefer where it's at now to what's been suggested.

The US Navy Band version of the Chinese national anthem is much better than the one posted before. No strings, but it's a lot more crisp, and ironically sounds more patriotic than the other recording.

Its old, but stil playing in polish army's events very often. I think it fit very good as polish losing song. (try to listen from 0:47 to 1:05 or 1:31-1:50)It's short, it's polish, its sad, and it is typical military song And i say again, without lyrics, just music.
