I guess i need to say it again... yeah, it doesnt work for half the poeple out there... its being updated...

the new file will be up...probably...... 12 hours?

Sorry for all the problems, i forgot to change the first post and say there was a problem.

And lightning, im not sure what the process is to add a map for your own server. I'll have to look into it... But im happy at your offer.

in the mean time, watch this vid i am making of the map. this is in game footage using free cam, its kinda cool... ill add in video of soldiers once i can get it...

that is easy to put a map in on our server once we got it and up and running it should be fun

I think you guys need to put your Terrain on MEDIUM if you Crash..

I am also uploading the editor file for Snake Doctor to *really* get the map working.

So, if you can't wait and want to see if it works now, go download it. If you dont wanna use the bandwidth and can wait for the real release, I suggest waiting on the real version packaged by Snake Doctor.

What I mean to say is this. If you'd like the map to try playing now and let me know if it works via xfire: okitamakoto, by all means, download the version up tehre now entitled Black_Hawk_Down.zip.

If you dont care, can wait, or just dont wanna download it now until you are sure it will work: wait for the Snake Doctor version which i will post on the first post and here at the end when it is available.

If it doesnt crash on anyone, I wont have a reason to have him fix it, seeing as it is working... but thats if its working... :)

Nope doesnt work for me. It just says Starting Server... Then it crashes.

Finally a realistic Black Hawk Down map. Hope to see the thick black fumes from burning tyres when entering the city in black hawk. Hope the problems go away quickly.

PS Do i get to fast rope down a black hawk? :) Kidding of course.

I dont know what the problem is for you all... I was in a room last night with 4 other people and it was running just fine.

I'll keep looking into it, but in the mean time, if you could be more specific and list the error given when you run it in windowed mode that would be great.

In other news, my monitor no longer works, apparently, instead it randomly cycles through inputs, and when it DOES show my computer(for a few seconds before switching again) the screen is all jagged and fuzzy and more or less unreadable. :(

Im so mad, i dont want to have to buy a new monitor... although a higher max resolution would be nice... *sigh*

Anyway, list those errors, and as soon as I can use my computer again, I'll get back to work on solving the issue...

could be that you have not generated low detail maps and that will cause a crash for people who have terrain set to low iirc.

Hmm... where do I do that? Id imagine I did it if its in the same drop down as lightmaps and env. maps, but I could be wrong.

The people who STILL cant get it to start, what are your ingame settings? I cant guarantee I'll be here to answer, Im at the library... still no joy on the monitor problem...

Well I downloaded this and so far it has shot its way up my favourite map list, it is awesome. Yes, I like black hawk down! I can´t wait to play this online, defending the crash site or doing insertions with the little bird!

A little feedback: Some of the light maps at the airport are not right, haven´t had time to check everywhere else but it all looks fine. And the draw distance for the vegetation, outside the airport especially, I think is way to low. Finally, I think it may need AAS2 in it, some sort of order to the flags. But thats just my opinion.

Anyway, well done! All we need is a server running this, or the next stable version! :-P

EDIT: Ah sorry, I didn´t mention my settings. Everything high, except from dynamic shadows and lighting on medium. Something like that. It works fine on those settings for me.

Thanks. yeah, lightmaps are visually fubar, but they work for now...

my graphics card is kaput. i'll be buying a new one soon, hopefully.(?)

I'd need a DEV or someone to help explain AASx2 to me before I even BEGIN to attempt it. ;)

And yes, the draw distance on the grass throughout the level and espec. on the way out of the airport is laughable at best.

Also, I need to add in a supply truck or two for the LB to rearm, and for helos to repair, and theres two helipads i want to add in for the same reason, i think that works, right?

Umm, yeah, roads eventually, got them working, but they werent looking right when the elevation changed... ill fiddle with it more later... i dont know how the editor will work with only my on board graphics... im already noticing lame "fps" when scrolling down the threads.... :( oh god.

great. been looking for that. i guess i just didnt think to look in the audit thing seeing as my map isnt an old one... but durrr, that does make sense that the audit thread would talk about aasX2...

looking for a good new card now too... :)
