Lol, sry guys ive been doing it again...
My computer melted down on the "games" side so i am now using the other side. (Curse you RAM!... Dont ask). Anyway i havnt lost my files so its all good.

I am PMing right now :) . as for the hands on the handle bars, it is feasable to have on all stearing wheels for vehicles except for helicopters and planes although it does mean the view is locked in a forward position, which isnt really acceptable in most cases. This is due to the fact that it is an exploit of the chase cam which is, as far as i know, hardcoded to follow the main Player controlled object. It works in the bikes case as the controls for moving your veiw are used for the balance and so there is no downside with or without. the reason it wont work on helicopters is because of the way the chase cam follows its target... It doesnt follow the vehicle in a straightforward way, when you did a flip you would see the problem ;) . if anyone knows of any way to change what the chase cam follows it could be done with every vehicle and mounted weapon in the game ;) .

I have already tried having the PCO as an ivisible object with everything else in the hierarchy parented to a rotational bundle connected to it, however i think the main seat is always connected to this object so it moves with it... in short - it doesnt work :) .

Im guessing its all hardcoded :(

The only other thing i think may be usefull is the fact that i may have worked out what was causing the insane lag on the current dirtbike, i think it is a problem with the BF2 netcode and wheel spins - sounds a bit odd i know but it is an educated guess. I think this problem also exists in the insurgent cars due to the same reason but not to such insane effect. I havnt been able to test this as i havnt got the server access and it only occurs online.

Here are the .con and .tweak files

Just made a new version with slightly better suspension here

:D

Good work I hope they put this in soon and make you an R-Con. Kepp this up and soon the Dirtbike wont just be a deathbike but a form of transportation.

thanks! The dirtbike should be in an upcomming release of PR. So keep an eye out, im still up for any suggestions or changes and if anyone has a server spare (only needs to support 2 or more players) and who is up for testing lag issues I would be happy for the help. also feel free to test it out for yourselves - just copy your pr folder and change the .con and .tweak files in the objects_server.zip.
Also you will have to name this mods folder "pr" whenever you run it and also change the current "pr"s folder name to something memorable so you can switch back afterwards, then just run from the desktop shortcut... at least this is the only way i have found :?

I feel the dirtbike looks too goofy on the BF2 engine and should just be removed.

lol, and you wait until now to tell me? Goofy in what way? The model or as a general concept? I will be finishing off a replacement model a friend of mine has been modeling soon and that should hopefully fit with PR a little better.

I might look into tweaking the atv but im not sure if it is worth adding the veiw with arms as the mouse movement is not used to control it and you can no longer look around with the view, so it could be seen as a bad change.
