I cant see anything in there to change the initial angle of the bullet, so i think the ony way to do that is to lower the scope sights on the screen, so when aiming the bullet will go upwards first.
What about changing the angle of the scope itself? That in itself is more realistic.

DEV's were saying that they might have found a way to make the bullets come out from a barrel. Ask them.

Jonny wrote:Are you sure the drag is affected by mass, I added a mass parameter to the projectile and changed it by a factor of 10000, to see no visible result on the tracers.

It looks like a deceleration which is proportional to the speed at the moment, not a force.
I believe if you put in erroneous figures, such as very high or very low numbers, it will ignore them.

Could you PM the values you are using for different variables to me, like drag, mass, gravity, velocity, etc.
Finding them now.

IDK about all speed meters except that the brit cars always seem to say they are moving right along =p

Jonny,

Have you and Nedlands made any more progress on ballistics to this point? I see this thread kind of died off bacl in October. Just wondering if you guys were still looking at. I like what I've read thus far. This is the same kind of stuff I've been screaming about :)

jonny made all calculations for all weapons and all the bullets and added it in-game but the devs dont seem to belive in science and dont want it. just for the record we tested it on our server it was awesome.

Markonymous; you're welcome to provide constructive feedback on the mod but slating the Devs for not immediately promising to include community-made additions doesn't fall into "constructive criticism".

If it's as amazing as you say it is, either
a) there's a very good reason why the DEVs don't want it in
b) they're working on something similar themselves
c) they're waiting for the right time to add it

Just because something's good it doesn't mean it has to go in this instant.

So please, can the attitude.

'[R-CON wrote:nedlands1;516453']If the Dev's have already figured out what the acceleration due to gravity is in the reality which is Project Reality then it is rather pointless for me to do the same. If I had known this I wouldn't have bothered. With my measurements I was using the attack markers to gauge horizontal distance and my phone's stopwatch to measure time(not the best setup but hey).
all those systematic errors/uncertanties  yes I have just learnt new stuff. I'm guessing you were working with equations of motion. I failed that, tricky stuff heh.

Dude, I'd honestly love to play with realistic ballistics. Is there any way we could get the changed files? I'd love to mess around with this, even if only in SP.

Few weeks to 0.8? Johnny old chap, what have you been smoking?
