Now my Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme-Gamer Fatal1ty Pro has a reason to live..

If the xfi does 128 sounds at once, how much do normal cards do like how many did the live do

This looks great, its like the oppisite of those vids with bf2 graphics & real life sound

I think their will be tons of sounds now and people are going to be a bit overwhelmed but thats as it should be

The M249 distant sound still needs some work. Some distant sounds sound exactly like the close-distance ones except muffled.

Yummie, I like this..

I always want My squad to do not fire without any reason,..

If they do now with those sound effects,.. I will be very angry if we got caught because they here us before we come into action..

If you got my point..

Excellent work! I do have to agree with the M249, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Has any work actually been done to it?

The M249 has the afformentioned full auto issue overriding distance calculations.

If its not fixed by the time of the release will the sounds still be distributed in the installer so we can hear what they would be like?

Actually, they are just delayed about 2 seconds after the intial firing, so you can literally hear 2 firing sounds for the M249 in the video, the close-up and the distance sound.

this BF2 bug (or intendet by DICE to safe resources?), where looped sounds, like the autofire sound is, are dont be affected by the speed of sound physics, like all other non looped sounds, can be heared unfortunatly too at the flyby sound of that JDAM bomb.
if you watch the JDAM vid, you can hear the bomb falling, followed by a small amount of silence and then the explosion sound.
thats the same bug. the explosions sounds gets delayed normaly, but the looped flyby sound doesnt.. :(

thnx DICE... :)

NICE,I know it's completely different, but the Insurgency Modern Infantry Combat mod for HL2 has some awesome gunfight sounds.

Excellent job! I respect games with good sounds. They maybe cant be seen but you really can hear when they are crappy.

Aaah, I remember when I hear first time some tank battle in 0.6. That was great!

This is fantastic, really adds to the atmosphere! Do you have to have EAX turned on to hear it?

Besides the HMMWV/Vodnik .50 those we're all hand held weapons. Are there any sound changes to the rest of the stuff, like tank firing, grenade explosions etc.?

unfortunatley, PR does not have the benefit of an awesome engine that can be modded as much as u could want, but rather, as someone put it, a 'fossilized turd of an engine'

The 50 actually sounds like it could do some damage now..

I just glanced your post and saw 'sex' instead of 'eax'.
