if we where going to hold it at Bovington I think we would have to bump the age limit upto 18+, I can remember that the last Bovington limit was.

the airport baggage handlers arent exacly careful with the luggage.

You pop it in some kind of carry case (I believe there are some out there in the market) or pack it carefully into a regular case with plenty of protection, and then at check-in you register it as oversize/fragile baggage with a small surcharge for the benefit of it. In theory the handlers then only drop it twice instead of eighteen times. It's the same way people fly musical instruments and skis etc.

Musical instruments you just persuade them to let you take it on as hand luggage. But that's not as easy to do with a PC, I guess. Or if you're a cellist or bassist, you book an extra seat for your instrument. :p

My euphonium was a hell of a piece of hand-luggage, I can tell you :p PCs are trickier, given that the smallest PC case (that isn't a laptop) and all the associated trimmings are going to be pretty hefty - and thesedays it seems unlikely they'd pass up the chance to bill you for oversized luggage.

And yes Spaz, I typo'd skis. Git :p

How long does a boat trip from sweden to england take?
I guess taking the train to gothenburg and then a boat the rest of the way could work.

Cant we just have a stand at dreamhack instead

Okay as a friendly tip if just some few people comes you have to make a small but nice LAN then arrange one in the fall more people will and also they who where there last time if it was fun thats how you make a good LAN, start in the small and make a community who meets they will automaticaly drag more people in.
