teh fastropez you see was an imperfect way of doing it in 0.7, throw a grappling hook out of hte merlin, and use it to get down...problem is when the merlin moved, the rope stayed....and (b/f)aildon didn't manage it in the vid...

Please no fast-ropes discussions.

It's funny, we're waiting, so we can wait to download, then wait for hte download to finish, then wait for it to install, then wait till the first map loads up......so we're waiting to wait to wait to wait to wait then to play. Still with me? o_0

Give them their time. They want to release it so most people in as many countrys as possible will be awake and not at work during the release i'd say.

I just got back from school 10 minutes ago, most people will still be working here. And still sleeping in other places.

I don't quite understand why the release has turned a bit cloak and dagger. Would it be possible for the devs to give a time (even just an indication - afternoon/evening) to put people out of their misery.

Ever heard about shifts? at us, and probably many other counttries people work 3x8 hrs, so if you wat for no people to work, you're gonna wait...for a looong time...

I said as many as possible, not all.

I think they'll release it this evening. Just to make sure it is at least DAY where people are.

Just because people aren't working doesn't mean they will be on this site. Not everyone will finish downloading or play at the same time anyway because of FilePlanet's queues, download speed, etc.

Again, as i said, most, not all. We cant change it anyway.

If there was a definate time, people could work around it

You know what i'll be doing now? I'll go and create a LAN server and walk through 0.75 Basrah. Then, the first thing i'll do once i have 0.8, is going through the new cities and getting my mind blown away.

I'm still a bit confused about the fileplanet exclusive. Would PR not give the coverage (I assume their giving you coverage) if you didn't give them the exclusive?

well, its not out yet so nothing is exclusive YET
also, ive never seen a thread disappear that fast, congrats to the mods (still, too slow for me, dling now)

maybe you made a mistake by giving them the "exclusive", but thats just my opinion

i wont get a FP account,
better save the money and donate it to PR... and wait a day longer.. its weekend and sun is shining anyway
