I have just begun playing PR and this is the first version I have played. What a sound running and sweet looking mod this is! I haven t played a lot yet, so I can t give any detailed feedback/troubleshooting...

I love the map korengal valley and I really like the way strategic squad teamplay has been implemented in the game. In vanilla bf2 I used the sniper kit extensively, in this mod I like the sniper kit even better, but rarely play it because the teamwork within a good working squad appeals to me more.

Thanks devs for this great mod

After playing v0.8 a bit over a week now,(from v0.5 onwards) I've still got mixed feelings about some features of the new version.

On the negative side:
- I am still not happy with the weapon deviation. I find the deviation extremely frustrating, even when taking more time between shots.
- The ease of injury situation - bleedout is too easy from minor falls.
- the scope delay is too long. Needs to be halved...feels like slow-mo ATM. The slow delay means lots more firing from the hip at close range...which is also frustrating.

The rest of the features of the mod are great improvements and/or changes I'm getting used to (eg sprint distances).

Plus the sprint.... :-(

Imo the PR mod team is very talented and clever, but has a tendency to overcompensate gameplay tweaks in various releases...

Is v0.8 better then you thought?.
Yes. :-D

Much better..., the maps, the sprint, the animations..., the absolute need of a good squad for a good game..., I love it... :15_cheers

I was introduced to the mod in the last version, but I have to say that with the exception of two or three things, I am extremely pleased with how things turned out.

No idea.

Why?

Because 0.8 Release Day fell exactly 12 days before I was due to hand in 12,000 words to complete the academic portion of my BSc. On Release Day I had exactly 500 words already written.

I have yet to play a single minute of 0.8 on public servers since release date :(

They do exist, and is why Henry Ford said, "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right."

heheh, like I said :P

I mainly threw that in just so someone wasn't like "Yeah!? Well [insert counter quote here] wa-CHAAAA!" :)

Personally it bugs me a little when people use a famous quote to support an action, makes me wanna scream "Just because someone famous sad it and because it rolls off the tongue does NOT make it true!!!1" :)

So in short, dont take my posting that too seriously. Heheh

My concern is the continuing trend towards a simulator and away from a game, and the main tool for this change appears to be making actions work slower (I'm not talking about teamwork). Having said that the coding done is amazing, but please, don't make it any slower, we are practically down to ARMA speed now ^_- (CPU runs away from Nightwolf).

PR .8 Was awesome, but some aspects have been overtweaked, like the player stamina, run for 5 seconds, recharge in 2 minutes? Sorry but thats lame, i remember I could almost run from North Village to the house complex on the hill, now, i go about 20m before the 'Pant pant'

:/

Although, .8 is awesome, maps are awesome, animations are awesome, BLAAAHHHH! *orgasm*
