I don't like snipers because it's not realistic , you won't see 2 snipers plus 2 special force guys for 28 "normal" soldiers

Even worst with the "officiers" a Lieutenant usualy commands nearly 50 soldiers on the field

I dont mind snipers on their own squad with a spotter, what i dont like is a sniper on my squad not helping me to capture objectives.

If you gonna join an infantary squad you need to follow the SL orders.

If you want to be a sniper just make a sniper squad and you will be fine.

What i dont like and most people hate is the dude that joins your squad just to be able to request the sniper kit.

Okay guys, think of the 32 man team as that, a 32 man team, but each man is worth or counts as 400 people. So that is why a Lieutenant commands the squads, a DEV explained it better than me, but remember who so wait for his input

EDIT:Actually found it, it was Oh holy banner of nubs(Masaq)

But it's not 30 men, is it? It's 400 men, in 30-man batches. IRL a Lt will command 30 men, but he certainly won't be in command of 30 men ranging from line infantry, special forces, armoured units, transport helicopters, CAS aircraft and fighter CAP missions.

I only hate snipers when they're being used vBF2 style, like many have said. That or when they're putting bullets in me. I just hate people who think they're l33t with snipers in their avatars.

Hehe, I actually rarely play sniper, honestly, I am a rifleman at heart through and through, maybe delve into Grenadier every now and again, but mainly rifleman, but apparently people recognise me from avatar, so I ain't changing it

But really, I have no problems with sniper squads, as long as they have max 3 people.

I was jesting buddy, I'm aware there are many out there who can use the kit efficiently.

Why would more than 3 people in a sniper squad be such a bad thing?

Sniper
Spotter/ target lazer
Officer/ 2nd sniper/ marksman
2 pilots in attack chopper nailing lazed targets
etc...

There's more than one way a recon squad can be used.

Well IMO, the recon squad shouldn't be more than 3 because otherwise it's too big a target, and I meant ground troops, by all means having attack choppers or jets in their is effective, but over 3 people you are a big target IMO to people, but thats just me

Yeah, I guess stealth is the key.

The last time I used the Sniper kit was on Ghost train, I've never lol'd as much to myself since an entire squad walked RIGHT past me before they started to swim across the river. The one guy covering them on the riverside took a double take at me, who'd fortunately stayed still for 8ish seconds... BOOM! no RP for those squad leaderless wonders...

If I had more squaddies with me, that'd have been an entirely different story.

Snipers > marksman in squad role. The marksman (m14 at least) can't hit jack.
