All I'm trying to do is make sense of what DICE has left us. I think it would be a challenge for the PR team to actually create a plot and storyline for the Battlefield 2 battles.

The reason I think countries in the pacific need to worry is becuase China apparently has made a move toward the pacific islands such as Wake Island 2007. Hell, if China invaded Taiwan, it might be enough to spark a conflict between the United States and China. That in itself might be a good plot to get the war going. With that said again, I believe China wouldn't hesitate to attack key islands such as Japan, the Philipines and the hundreads of smaller islands dotted around the Pacific Ocean.

I think Japan also has a defensive force because of WW2

Japan's armed services are strictly meant for defence. Although I think it was a while back when Japan did have a small amount of troops in Iraq. In any case my scenario would have China attacking Japan. For the most part the U.S does have naval and marine forces stationed in Okinawa, Japan. That alone is enough to pose a threat to China.

Think it wouldn't work, they aren't really a large force anymore, really...

What about Brazil? They are the regional super power... it would be fun, battle of the carnival!

Why not base the Russian campain on a swedish book called "Operation Garbo". Russia vs Swe... o.O O.o

I know I would like it....

EDIT. And sweden got snow you know... And CV9040 and Leopard 2S... Just at thought

People for the last time, it does snow across northern Asia. I actually prefer to see some more tropical island type maps. The scenary in this locations are just simply too hard to ignore. In fact, it would be awesome to have battles over Indonesia and the Philipines.

First of all 'Gulf of oman' could mean Iran and Pakistan, Oman is western influenced (British to thank for that, dam tommies)

Second, it does snow across north asia and especialy in winter, Winter maps are ugly thogh. I want to see some European temperate climate maps.

How about Argentinia, the old 1980's enemy of Britian trys to take over the Falklands again?

By doing this you would be able to add a few more weapons in, and expand the game even more. Also this would allow for many different types of maps to be introduced into the mod. Again a new topic has sprung up about snow maps. Now you ain't going to find a Arab MEC guy in the middle of the arctic, and you ain't going to find a chines man there either.

But Russia for most of the time is full of snow, other vegetation, and new types of maps!

Somehow i know the DEVs have shot down this idea before but i cant help but think this would be great. Most of the weapons are there and we got guys working on the Canadians and the Polish and the russians make more sense anyway, so if yah wanted you could put them to work on the russians(im sure they would love to help). Maybe even give them R-con status.

Rhino, if you guys do go that route please don't give the Russians outdated weapons that even they don't use AK-47, rpk-47, and the rpg-7. Instead give them ak-74's, rpk-74's, and rpg-26's. The AK and RPK are pretty much identical in appearance with the exception of the mag so for the time being could only be changed in name and be fine but I really don't think the Russians should be given the rpg-7. But honestly, since it's in the future, why not just give them all 101's or 103's?
